The pure adrenaline overload when you're on the home straight and you cut the downhill corner at 30 like you always do - only to find a top-down MX-5 coming the other way, hidden by the hedge that you always thought was too low for anything to hide behind

Funny that. I changed my saddle position and managed to do that just yesterday and i'm still alive.
It's great innit? Put a smile on my face. Felt like a proper cyclist (momentarily).

Starlings at about 4.25pm swirling around. Not as good as Gloucester docks but still pretty good. Even the feral pigeons were doing their bit to loose a bit of spare fat seen as they get a regular supply of Kebab, Pizza and chip shop left overs.
My 5 year old loved it.
She also loved the Robin over at PPP. He's a smart little fella. He knows if I come, there will be food so I got her to place some seed on a wall. He came soon enough.
He also recognises my van and the fact that there is always some crumbs or leftovers in it. If I leave the door or the window open, he pops in. I really need to leave a note asking him not to sh1t on my steering wheel though.

The bitter salty tears of the Aussie fan at Twickenham today who after England’s fourth try which gave an, admittedly undeserved but, highly enjoyable gloss to the score stood up and shouted “you f*cking cheating bunch of f*cking c*nts!”
As someone who sat through the debacle against the Aussies during the rugby World Cup, it was enjoyable to see him storm off in high dudgeon being serenaded “Cheerio Cheerio Cheerio” by the England fans.

Jurgan the gorilla from cbbc show -- my 10yr old was watching before school this morning -- it's the German accent and how well it suits the character I found very funny.

This morning was the first time in a while I've had the sort of tailwind that feels like still air at 25+mph, but you can hear it roaring in the trees around you.

Not so sure I'll like it tonight though, as we're forecast for the same sort of wind except at sub-zero temps :-(

Watching one of our cats working something out in his brain.

I went to feed our two cats in the garage and had just dished out half a tin of cat food into one of the dishes. On hearing the dish rattle both cats come dashing in but I notice one is standing over the dish growling but not gobbling up the food as usual. I also notice he has a live mouse in his mouth so I pause to see what he is going to do with the mouse cos I don't want the mouse running around in the garage.

He didn't want the other cat to start eating first cos the one that finishes first usually starts eating what's left of the others and therefore gets more, so he was guarding the one dish I'd filled. At the same time he didn't want to let go of the mouse and let the other cat eat it. So what did he do?

I saw the little wheels turning in his head for a few moments then when he saw I wasn't filling the other dish he decided to eat the mouse while still growling and guarding the dish. Just crunched it down tail an all, greedy barsteward.

Facing the prospect of standing behind someone with a huge trolley load of food while it was all unloaded and scanned with a single item that I couldn't take through self-service but then being told by the guy with the trolley to go in front.

    Name??

Oasis' "Dig Out Your Soul". 2008!

I completely missed this first time around due to being quite busy but after all the tripe they came out with after "Morning Glory" I had lost real faith in them (but kept on listening and being a fan and annoying everyone with going on about how good they are).

This is actually really good and will be my Christmas time tunes.
