Watching the Bath Vs Bristol match today, during a lull in the play there was an annoying and loud announcer trying to whip up some enthusiasm and shouting "COME ON EVERYONE, MAKE SOME NOISE!!" at this point they cut to the Bath substitute bench and one of the players said "Naah, don't think I'll bother"
That's my kind of guy!0 -

Fell races. Sport at its most basic - turn up, pay £5, pin on a number, run up and down a mountain and get given a bottle of beer for finishing. So much better than £30 online entries months before race day, queuing for a portaloo with thousands of others then getting handed a plastic carrier bag full of crap and yet another medal for crossing the line. You even forget how much the uphill bit hurt as you hurtle back down with your arms flapping around!0

Junior passing her driving test today. We're out tonight to celebrate but as she's not old enough to drink, she's driving. It's payback time after much Dad's taxi work recently"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

How exciting - according to the automated phone message I have just received an HMRC arrest warrant has just been issued in my name. It did invite me to press 1 to talk to my case officer but I think it would be more fun to wait for the HMRC police to bash the door in whilst I scream at them "You'll never take me alive!". I hope I have time for a cup of tea first though.Faster than a tent.......0

Had to go to the dentist today - apparently they had previously overcharged me (or I had overpaid as they liked to phrase it!) so cost me £3 instead of the £61 i was expecting!www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0
