watching the surgical team on C5 performing a kidney transplant. utter genius', amazing work.

Wonder if the new kidney belonged to my friend who donated one of hers for a total stranger on Monday?

How exciting - according to the automated phone message I have just received an HMRC arrest warrant has just been issued in my name. It did invite me to press 1 to talk to my case officer but I think it would be more fun to wait for the HMRC police to bash the door in whilst I scream at them "You'll never take me alive!". I hope I have time for a cup of tea first though.

I don't get that. The first you normally hear about your arrest warrant is at 2 a.m. when they are already in the house to take you away. A cup of tea??

    Standards are obviously slipping.

Well they haven't actually showed up yet which is disappointing; I've had several cups of tea since and I'm getting bored. I may have to leave a note on my door to let them know when I'm in.

We reckon they will be a very geeky and badly dreseed version of Hereford's CRW - they will turn up in badly fitting cheap suits, clip boards and red auditing pens at the ready.

i can hear them in Costa discussing it now: "Yeah, I was the second man in. You should have seen him when I said that that he hadn't filled put Section 2 (ii) (a) out correctly and he had signed outside the box on form 3. Yeah. I da man. Now wheres that buffet?"

"Yeh - he didn't know who he was messing with".

Seconded. The fact that there are people like that in the world cheers me up, but should certainly not be considered trivial.

Indeed. All the more so when you think about it further. Eg aside from the 3d aspect, I'd always assumed that losing sight in one eye was probably not that debilitating in the long term - but now I think the real fear would be the risk of losing sight in the remaining eye. I'm just not generous enough to hand over my one and only spare of anything. And then you get the honours list rewarding people for giving some money to the Conservative party.

She's the sort of person who would assume anyone would do it. I think originally she got matched up to see if she could help a family member but when she found they weren't a match just went on the list anyway.

I'm like Rolf, I'd be too worried I might need the back up myself. Happy for anything to be taken when I no longer need it though.

Bulleit bourbon. Got it for 20 quid on offer and it's rather nice. Certainly a cut above the other bourbons I've tried up to press. Cheers.

That's nothing there's a little guy at work who's belly sits out front further than he is tall -- when you see him from the side when he's standing he defies the Laws of moments ( When an object is balanced (in equilibrium) the sum of the clockwise moments is equal to the sum of the anticlockwise moments.) When he walks it's as challenging as tight rope walking across Niagara falls.

I think the maths and science involved in landing 3 tall narrow tubes upright from falling to earth at very high velocity is simply staggering.

However, given that the footage from the drone ship is lost at the critical moment, the third landing does seem rather like a bad magicians act. Doubtless, the conspiracy theorists will love that.

    Amazing stuff.

I always thought that getting them up in a straight-ish line without crashing or veering off randomly was enough of a feat, never mind landing them again.
