Right, so human intelligence isn’t what’s holding us back then, is it?

Climate change is ultimately a political problem if you believe the power is in our hands to change it.

I think you need to settle it with a fight round the back of Greggs.

Hate to break it, but blade runner, terminator, AI, the matrix, 2001: A Space Odyssey

They're all not real you know.

you know sci fi writers get many of their ideas from stuff that already exists.

Bladerunner was released in 1982 and was using voice activation to shut the curtains.
Yeah and I still don’t close my curtains with my voice. 🤷🏻‍♂️
That's because in real-life you have to prefix it with 'Alexa' or 'Hey Siri' which Bladerunner didn't predict.

Not trivial and probably experienced by a few on here.
    Being asked….
“Why can’t I just get a euthanasia pill?”
    Followed by…
“They wouldn’t treat a dog like this.”

    We have some strange priorities.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Pitta bread.

You need the skills of a surgeon to make a successful pocket, and then trying to stuff the thing invariably ends in a disappointing mess.
The supermarket varieties should be renamed PITA bread.

I make my own as well as Naan bread. Try it.

Nocent*, I've never tried to make it (pitta). I've made naan many moons ago. The secret to really great naan is a super-hot clay oven, which I don't have (or a gas oven).

Do you put them in the toaster before trying to open them. Ours go in the freezer then when needed in the toaster and slice open when they cool down.
What is annoying is that they seem to be getting smaller.

Straight out of the oven, quickly into a hot pan and then my plate Webboo.
They puff up like footballs and you slice them open.

I don't freeze home made Pitta or Naan.

Takes a bit of practice - moisture, kneading, rest period, rolling, oven temp...

Nothing beats home made breads if done properly. Naan is easier personally and you cook them in the pan.
I wish I could make Paratha well.

More energy efficient and cheaper (only use mine to heat beans to go in the jacket potato these days though).

    Flight pricing transparency.

Booked some flights which on face value cost £350 all in for the family of 3 - pretty good value.

Though when you get to booking it, if you want a proper suitcase each (which we do for a 2 weeker) it's another £240.

It's fine, I don't mind paying it in this instance because the route is run by one airline and it's super convenient (and even then, £600 all in for flights for the family isn't that bad nowadays) but it's infuriating it doesn't get picked up in the aggregators.

On the upside, the valet parking service is still half the price of taxis to the airport (trains don't run early enough for the only flight out @webboo) and only £15 more than parking it yourself and waiting for a bus. No brainer.

Excellent question and yes not trivial. I would like an answer but it looks like pita breads are a bigger issue on the forum today.

Go on, I've posted enough on here, go find one where I wail at the impending doom of our race and come post it here.

Anyway, carbon offsets are a biodiversity nightmare, use up useful land for other stuff and aren't a proper mitigation.

I’d do a background check on the valet company. Lots of stories about cars being used while owners are out of country.
Your Polo should be fine though. 😉

Good luck to 'em. They'll probably struggle to get it to where it needs to be before their deadline for the next pickup runs out.

It's the official airport one, and it's pretty easy to check the mileage before and after pickup.
