If Liverpool fans who turn up to watch Chelsea are the same who go to champions league finals then yes - not an unreasonable assumption

I see 80 year old Baron Howard of Lympne CH QC (aka Michael Howard ex-leader of the Conservative Party) was caught up in this and feared for his own safety and that of his wife. Would you class him as a racist, a rapist or both?
Based on him being a football fan or him being a conservative?
He is famously a life long Liverpool fan.
is the answer a racist rapist?
d'you know what, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that all rapists are racist...
Hmmm. 🤔 I'm sure all rapists are bad people. I can see that bad people may very well have a tendency to be racist. Not sure you can claim all rapists are racist though.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Driving instructor on the news the other morning blaming the driving test backlog on drivers taking tests when they’re not ready.

Hmmm, pretty sure that will always be the case. Plus, if the demand is there, it’s a supply problem. It’s not like they’re free to take.

See that bloke over there, perched in an armchair next to the pillow of the Queen?

That's you, that is. All snuggled up next to the Queen.

Wife put some up a few weeks ago, the shame. I'm fairly agnostic when it comes to the Royals but red, white and blue tackiness isn't me (and I was surprised at the wife today despite her being quite a royalist).

I love this. Rick and Pross all cosied up next to the Queen, sipping tea with scones using their posh china.

    God save our gracious Queen...

I know everyone's banging on about inflation, but the cost of international travel is unreal, and availability is just nowhere.

Flights to Netherlands have got as rare as hens teeth - can't get return flights except for 3 days in July from Stansted and from elsewhere they're going for £200odd a head once you factor in additional costs for baggage etc. That's easily 3 fold what it was pre corona, and then you had massive choice.

I thought I'd take a gander at the Eurostar as an alternative - £250-300 per head!

What the hell is going on!

Supply and demand innit. They don't want the custom as they can't fulfil the demand. If you do go, you'll pay for the privilege.
I find it interesting that so many staff have not wanted to go back. Clearly cheap travel for consumers hasn't created rewarding employment opportunities for staff.

We need all the Polish people who were taking our jobs to come back and take our jobs.

    Maybe we should employ Ukrainians.

Fair point. But even cabin staff aren't going back. Obviously, it's not as glamorous as a job as many suppose, but you'd think people would be keen to return.

Yes. We should help them by taking all their best people. It will help prepare them for joining the EU.

The cost of the old dinosaur squeezings have been increasing pretty significantly, a large overhead.

We had a choice between going to Mauritius in December via Heathrow or Paris. We went with Paris. £500 extra but I figure it means only one set of UK baggage handling.

To be honest, air travel has been stoopidly cheap for too long. Don't tell EasyJet, but I'd not really hesitate to book return Paris flights up to about £150. Above that I'd start to look at the comparison with Eurostar, even if getting to and across London from the South West is a PITA.

Still hoping Paris flights from Exeter return, but no sign of that from the 'new' Flybe yet.

The new flybe is hq'd in Birmingham, so that's not going to happen Brian. Get used to the drive to Bristol.

I had a look at my old flights and trains from 3-4 years ago - same time of year.

Aside from **much more choice** back then we’re looking at a 180-250% price increase.

With an extra head now too the price has jumped from £150-200 for the two of us to £500-700 for the three.

    Crazy.
