You didn't miss much of a race that year. Zzzzz.

Was it good when Evans won?

Was that the Dutch Royal Family doing a John Terry?

Well to be fair, one of them has allowed a cycle path right through the middle of his front garden which i use for work everyday so...

@Laura_Meseguer - Freire visiblemente disgustado tras la meta: "Debían haber estado conmigo en los kms finales. No puedo neutralizar y rematar"

Don't speak Spanish, but I guess Oscar is a little peeved...

He was complaining that Valverde didn't wait for him.
  • Brilliant race. Very pleased it was Pip even if Valv was my PTP pick.

Awesome work by JTL to finish in such elite company. I never thought he'd last the distance today!

Iain hated every minute of it.

It depends if you have a bonus for winning it in your contract or not (and Gilbert will for sure). He'll owe the Belgian team some of that, as he'll have almost certainly paid for their support today. Any prize money, and I don't think there is any, will go into that pot too. On top of any bonus, he'll get more in the way of sponsorship endorsements so it'll be well worth his while winning.

I'm sure you mean the Stuttgart one..
  • I've just seen last hour, can someone tell me where was Cav, Wiggins and Froome ?
Team4Luke supports Cardiac Risk in the Young
  • well, that were a right good race

Great winner and runner-up - makes up for Piti being on the podium
    Exciting race
    Cav - class
    Younger Brits showed very well
JTL more than proved that he's going to made the step-up, no problem
Stannard - Sky had better give him protected leader status next spring

Btw, if I ever see another race with no time info or distance bar in the top, I will hurt a canary.

Cav was a hero for the first few hours, I never saw Froome or Wiggo do much but then I fell asleep for an hour in the middle...

Think they kept the pace/gap consistent for JTL

Wiggo and Froome didn't do much that I saw. Both just utterly shattered and or very out of shape.

Cav drove the peloton, kept the pace at a decent JTL-level, and made sure the distance to the breakaway for the first half of the race didnt get out of hand, then dropped out (and then prob went to find the 'dick-head' of a spectator who almost took him out with a sign on the climb)

Wiggo and Froome - toasted physically and mentally by this point in season and both dropped out

Could do very well indeed. Can see him really being up there towards the end in Roubaix. Along with Thomas and Flecha they will have a strong team.

The rainbow jersey for a year. The money is broadly irrelevant.

Not sure Pip will be saying that when he takes a look at his bank account in February after spending a lot of time standing in rainbow lycra infront of various cameras...

Flecha off to Vacansoleil next season. Hayman will be there still though. Be interesting to see how Rowe does.

Sure. The prize money is irrelevant because you'll make a lot more elsewhere. I'd suggest you'd probably get more money at a crit as world champ than you would from winning the race.
