There is a good chance it's more accurate than anything we can pull out of our backsides. And it may be a guess from him but it's an informed guess. He must have known of at least some clean guys to not automatically say 100%. And therefore my point to Dennis still stands, yes Armstrong suffered to cross the line first 7 times in a row but he probably didn't suffer as much as those who did it clean.
But it's back to proving a negative. He knows some that did, he can make an informed guess at some more that did too, but he can't know who didn't. Now you've made me sound like Dennis.
  • I'd just like to say that dennis in the foes list is a GREAT idea. Sure his contrary b$%^ocks gets pasted into replies, but just seeing the words 'dennisn is in your ignore list' is a wonderful thing.

Once more time, again. I do this because I believe you are all a bunch of self righteous
morons or worse(actually worse). It's all OK for you to say whatever about whomever yet not OK for me to say the same about you. How does that work? You're all above being called fools. Don't like it, do you? I don't know many people who do. So you have a choice. Run to your mother and tell her that someone called you a name or knock off the name calling, etc. or get me banned. With the latter your wishes will come true. You'll all be sheep in this little hate group you've got going, never to be bothered by the big bad wolf again, and free to tell each other all about your cycling woes. Won't that be exciting?
Don't do it, in the same way that trashing all Americans because people find you tedious is wrong, you can't trash everyone on the forum because some people write stuff you don't like.

I don't buy that, he would have known guys whose performance didn't change when his did. And there is only one person that made you sound like Dennis ;) Anyway enough of the petty arguments I'm off to teach a bunch of kiddies how to swim, and I wont think about Armstrong once, I promise Dennis.

Dont you get tired of trying to tell people they are morons all the time? Why does it bother you so much? Surely you can go and find a bigger group of morons and let them know how silly they are, there must be bigger fish to fry?

Trouble is dennis you re acting like we don't remember what you ve written for the last 4 or 5 years when all of the USADA report was just rumour and supposition and you believed it was all nonsense and LA was a hero. Remember the classic dennis line "unless you have SEEN IT with your OWN EYES you cannot say it happened"?

We have nt forgotten and now that EVERYONE knows it's all true becasue people that DID SEE IT with THEIR OWN EYES have testified to the fact, you re trying to pretend you believed all along but did nt care.

I'm afraid you re rumbled buddy...either be a man and admit it, or just keep quiet. what you re doing now just makes you look more gutless I'm afraid.

Anyway - back to the topic in hand...

Contador: "Armstrong is not being treated with respect"

Now there, dennis, is a man I truly cannot stand!

To be honest I really think that the Spanish attitude towards doping is one of the biggest challenges to getting this sport really cleaned up

Can't help thinking this outbreak of Spanish Flu(ff) making people say mental stuff, has got something to do with the Puerto case... but I can't figure out what...

It will be interesting what certain members of the twitterati will say about this, given their fawning over Contador, and their hatred of Armstrong.

The Spanish attitude seems somewhat bizarre.

These riders should really read the docs before commenting.

Maybe Contador can speak closely on the matter having felt tremendous mental pressure over the recent past with the hounding. So he maybe refers to that aspect of LanceGate.

I also think some riders are angry that these riders that testified are actually being looked on favourably, or at least not badly. They are all dirty and not worthy of respect. They shut their mouths, sought the dope and then gave up when they had jail waved at them.

Either way, Lance is still a nasty piece of work and even if he is being attacked from all sides, he deserves it.

It seems they have read the documents from their comments, they don't think the process was fair, they should have left him alone it was ages ago etc.

The more I see of the comments of Valverde, Bertie, Staff, Big Mig etc. the more I wonder about why you'd bother even thinking about reform of pro cycling. Just wind back the testing, (as per other sports), and then let whole shagging lot of them wallow in it.

And when someone is found dead in their bed or grows a second nose? Tough titty.

Ooh. I could crush a grape.

    Contador says:
'What there is (in terms of evidence) I don't know'

So I guess he hasn't even read summaries of the doc let alone the doc itself.
Maybe all these Spanish riders have read is what is in the Spanish press and who knows what they are saying.
And then these docs being in English and most of the press being in English, it isnt surprising that non-English speaking countries will have much less information.

    He also says
it's based exclusively on witness statements that could have existed in 2005.
I take it to mean he thinks there isn't any evidence against him because he hasn't, officially, failed a test.

He knows that 15 people have said he doped and yet he is standing up for him and not condemning him.

    Contadork's comments on Sky

...edit, can see its maybe been posted

But... reading his comments he's also someone who is:

    1. So thick, he'd comment without reading the files
    2. So thick, he's read the files and thinks LA deserves respect.

Either way, he's a dimwit just the same as the other Spaniards etc that have been commenting.

Thankfully the likes of Valverde, Contador, and Indurain aren't the people we were looking to lead us into a cleaner cycling world anyway. I can't say that I expected much different from them.
  • “People talk about Lance but there is no new proof against him, nothing,” Contador said. “They’ve relied on testimony that dates from 2005. I respect the choice of every rider, but I would have preferred if they been a bit earlier.”

I think i just bit through my tongue.

I always thought Bertie and Lance hated each other.

Didn't Lance send the Astana cars off to the airport to pick-up his family so Bertie couldn't get to the TT start?

"My name appears 480 times in the USADA report, Armstrong's only 200 times. They make me out to be wicked and diabolic, like the magical mixture of olive oil and testosterone to put under the tongue. Or suggesting that EPO disappears quicker when taken intravenously rather than injecting it under the skin," the Ferrari told Italy's Quotidiano newspaper. "Like Lance would say, it's all bullshit."

As Lance not only would say, but actually did say. And guess what? Not only did it not turn out to be no bullshit, it was found to be true and upheld by the UCI and he lost all his titles.

    Oh the irony
