Private jets are also not a bad investment, especially for fundraising activities as I said above - just by taking someone on one, they are more likely to cough up more (for the charity) and it can be cheaper to rent them if you have lots of flights in a short period vs the time/cost of charter flights.

My point was that Armstrong was making money for himself from the LS funds, in this way

Oh yeah, without a doubt - but he is quite the shrewd businessman

If I'm not mistaken then LA gets paid quite a lot by LS funds for the use of his brand image too so in essence he is trying to get as much out of it as possible...

Its the Livestrong Technicoloured Dreamcoat. He's used it for years to mask all his indiscretions and radiate all things positive (to him).
    Can I upgrade???

When you think about it all this is probably his most heinous act.

Is there any evidence that Armstrong was doping in 93 when he won the worlds?

No, but from Brian Smith's interview in the Daily Hate last week, Armstrong was furious because he'd won the Worlds in 93 and then got his ar£e kicked in the 94 season. He spoke to Smith about PEDs in a training ride in autumn 94.

Apologies now for the link to the rag...

Hincape says he noticed in '95 that the peloton was going mega fast, so we can assume that's the year EPO took hold of a good portion of the peloton.

I always assumed that the transformation of Big Mig from rouleur/TT specialists to climber/Tour Winner was to do with finding a way to get extra oxygen to that big motor. So by 1991 I would imagine a few were at it.
It amuses me that when the lists of clean/dirty tour winners are printed in the popular press that Indurain is listed as clean.

He had that ridiculously huge lung capacity, that was how he did it. The cycling press were always telling me that at the time so must be true.

I've been wondering the same about the whole high cadence stuff pedalled by Lance about why he was faster than everyone else.....

Well, his private jet was on lease, and it was his company Mellow Johnny's Aviation who made all the lease payments.

When he charged a 6 figure appearance fee to an Australian Cancer Charity to appear at their launch, Livestrong got the 6 figures, then Livestrong paid most of that out to Mellow Johnny's Aviation for him to fly over on his jet.

That's how I understood it anyway, I could be wrong...

If it is true then that's not really on is it?? He's a multi-millionaire, couldn't he have bought his own first class ticket and gone that way???

The donation money that came to the Oz charity and then effectively moved to Livestrong, well, a massive chunk of those kindly given donations that totalled up ended up going to Mellow Johnny's Aviation.

Sure someone has links on this.

So is she is saying without saying "yes, it was going on I knew all about it disagreed with it but kept quiet and now I'm not going to speak about it (other than more or less spelling it out here) as I want to protect my kids. However, I'm not proud of myself for staying quiet" or am I reading it wrong? ;)

To be fair there WAS a lot of science behind his wins...

And a bit more... 'His choices were, and are, his. And mine are mine. And they haven’t always been pretty. I am sorry if this is disappointing to you.'

Think that fesses up to a bit more than just not talking.

Oh well, she's invoked Leonard Cohen so she's bound to be forgiven.

She can't say anything legally - when they divorced Lance made her sign a total confidentially agreement concerning anything to do with cycling and him. Although some reports suggested she testified (along with Sheryl Crow) at the grand jury testimony, although Im guessing there were a lot of 'no comments'

At the time it was one of the things that turned me from he's prob clean to you cheating bastard
