It's about Oprah and how wonderful she is. That's why it's called the Oprah show. This particular show is called OPRAH - The Lance Armstrong interview. It's all about her and you're out there looking for and thinking about truth. Use your brains man. This is "show biz" not enlightenment.

Sounds like you've seen the interview already - you seem to know what is going to happen?

Refer to my last post... I like many will watch to see Armstrong answer some questions - the first time he has done so since being officially sanctioned. Who said anything about "looking for and thinking about truth"?

Please stop posting utter nonsense and ruining this otherwise informative forum.

So you're NOT "... looking for and thinking about truth..."? Without truth, how would this be an "..informative forum."? Key word "informative"?

Great. I can surmise that you will not be watching the show then. That information is valuable, but let's move on...

Yes it is valuable. Valuable as entertainment. Much like Pro Wrestling has value as entertainment. Much like Oprah has value.....

But I would ask when it was that you believed Pro Wrestling was about anything BUT entertainment. I knew it was entertainment when I was in the 1st. grade.

What do you suggest we do Dennis? No one has said that this is how they want Lance Armstrong to confess or answer questions about the RD, but we don't get to choose.

Are you suggesting that we just totally ignore it instead?

No, most of us have nt seen oprah, would nt recognise her if I saw her as I'm sure most of us wouldnt. She's not a big deal over here.

You are making far more assumptions about how the interview will be than any of the rest of us.
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

You've spent about half this thread harping on about how you like to study people and their responses to things and other people. I would have thought this is right up your street.

I am interested to see how Armstrong responds to the questions he is asked (regardless of how credible the process by which he has been asked). I am also interested to see the manner in which his reported admission is made. I reserve judgement on whether I believe his responses and statements represent the truth until I've seen them.

QED the event will therefore be informative.

You are passing comment on other people's thoughts. I respect your right to hold an opinion, but please quote me one factual / interesting post you have made throughout the course of this thread. If you can't, please go away.

If you're looking for entertainment then stay up late.
If you're looking for truth and justice then ignore it.
Personally, I'm guessing it will have a huge audience as people want to be entertained and at the same time THINK that they are watching "issues that really matter". It's wrestling. Two guys scream at each other outside the ring, then they get into the ring(with much hype) to settle these "issues that really matter", and strangely enough many people believe that's what they are seeing. I don't see any real difference in "WWE" and Oprah insofar as how they attract an audience.
It's all based on what the audience wants to see and hear.

Except we have the Reasoned Decision already plus many books on the subject so much is already known and LA's answers can be tested against them. You really are arguing for the sake of it.

Time to leave the thread Dennis. You have nothing to add.

It is Armstrong's first public interview since he was officially sanctioned. Supposedly it will be the first time he publicly admits to doping, it is not clear to what extent this admission will go, or whether he will implicate anyone else. It doesn't matter who the interviewer is - it will still be interesting to watch. Some people may decide that it is sufficiently interesting to lose some sleep for, others won't.

I for one really wish he would , everytime i pop in to have a read its just him and his tiresome tedious BS ruining an interesting subject.

I will not be posting for a week or two. Going on "holiday" as I believe you say "over there". Keep up the good work guys and after this confession thing I expect to see post's exceed the 300 mark in short order.

Lance might be a bit upset tonight, his big me, me, me
moment could be overshadowed by this bizarre breaking
story regarding one of the big prospects for this years
NFL draft. It's not cycling related but its a crazy read if you

That actually looks like a really weak case. The key parts (19-35) seem to rely on clauses in the USPS Purchasing Manual and USPS employment contracts (like they give to postmen) to prove fraud. There's nothing from any contract between USPS and Tailwind or any evidence that USPS asked for assurances and were lied to.

I would advise Landis not to start building that beach house just yet.

Yeah, I posted a link to this story last night (on page 212, but no-one was desperately interested  )... it has been headline news (not just on the sports stations) all day here in the US - proper weird!

And like you say, it is definitely stealing thunder from the Oprastrong story... for some reason a trailed interview with David Walsh was dropped on ESPN this morning (I'm assuming because they were so wrapped up in the Manti T'eo thing... I can't imagine DW was too busy or anything today :))
