You seem like you don't get out into the real world much. Arrogant people, liar's, cheats, meanies, bullies, dopers, thieves, you name it are all out there. LA and the rest are nothing new and when they are gone they WILL be replaced by more of the same, who will get caught(maybe), deny(most likely), and confess(possibly). On top of it all I'm not just talking about cycling. Get a grip man, get out there and see for yourself. Sorry your perfect little world has been turned upside down. Maybe next time you'll put all your faith and hero worship to better use. :roll:0 -

There you are Nick, you've been told.
If we could all think and be like Dennis, we'd all be happier and more aware of both the world and ourselves.

If we could all think and be like Dennis, we'd all be happier but far less aware of both the world and certainly have zero ideas about ourselves.

Maaaaaaybe it will be on oprah.com ...I'll be able to look anyway, it does say 'worldwide' but a lot of these things when on say 'not available in your region'.0 -

Doh! But, but, but it says the show will start 30 minutes beforehand, I was expecting Dermott from X Factor building the audience up and some singing too. I shall be hitting Google hard at silly o clock in the morning then0 -

I simply can't believe that you guys are so fired up over an Oprah interview. Think about it for a second. It's OPRAH.
Then think about it again. It's LA, the man you love to hate, the worst person in the world, the one who will never tell the truth. And he's going to talk to someone that has zero credibility. You're all living in a fantasy world if you believe a minute of this show biz stunt. Tonight you're going to see and believe what they want and tell you to see and believe, because you're suckers for all this, and it won't have a whole lot to deal with truth. Sad part is you'll think it will.0 -
Is there likely to be a catchup broadcast online?
I am not wasting valuable sleeping time watching a stage managed interview of someone I have zero respect for.Can I upgrade???0 -

A) You lost all credibility when you would nt put your cards on the table and tell us what Armstrong was going to say so we could check it
Everything you have just posted is utter rubbish (see A), there have been pages of discussion about how this will not be the whole truth.
C) You are supposed to be running all your posts by me first
Had you at least kept to C) I could have saved you making such a fool out of yourself

I'm thinking that it's not me making a fool of myself. It's the morons who will stay up all night tonight watching an Oprah show. Tell me how that doesn't sound like the most ridiculous idea ever?0 -

Who's staying up all night then, care to name the morons?0 -

I am pretty certain that this will be everywhere tomorrow a.m. I am going to stay/wake up to see if I can watch it live though. I hope it will ring in huge change and far greater focus on control in cycling (not just doping but all due probity).
E.g. Look at the relationship between Hein and Thom - now years back it would seem, posted earlier and elsewhere. The general tone of all comments are 'how can this not be a conflict of interest? How could this happen?'. Yet, CCN appears bankrolled by a clothing manufacturer/brand and the proposed 'new breakaway' organisation is part funded by a Russian moneyman who owns one of the teams that would participate. Despite everything, we are not learning IMHO. Perhaps if LA has the venom to not be the only fall guy and empties his pockets, there will be enough to bring total change to the way this amazing and wonderful sport is run.0 -

...you're stating an opinion of what everyone else will think, but you haven't got a clue, most people on here have demonstrated an ability to form their opinions through reading up, they'll do the same after watching this and digesting what's said and what isn't said... we're not all thick Dennis (oddly enough your comments on the actual subject matter of LA are pretty much completely lacking, you just spout stuff about how people on here think, and you're very rarely anywhere near the mark).
We know its Oprah dennis. We know not to take at any face value that the parameters for the questioning (that we don't really know about) are pretty much non-existent, and if they are existent could be slanting the whole thing. We know that there will be an agenda of LA's and his team to present certain information in certain ways. But, all that aside. LA is going to have his mouth open, giving responses to questions, apparently 100 of them, and we can all hear what the question is, hear the answer and digest what's being said / not said / inferred.
If a politician gets asked an awkward question by a 7 year old kid on TV then the body language and response does tell a lot if the question is hitting a nail on the head or a nerve. When things like that occasionally happen you don't get an overwhelming sense that the '7 year old' isn't 'credible'.
Oh well, I'll assume you won't watch it, won't make any comment on it, it won't interest you and that you'll have nothing to say.... yeah, right.0 -

You're going to stay up to see it LIVE? I think you had better get some of this "far greater focus" for yourself. The show was RECORDED, repeat RECORDED two days ago. Live???? Bwaaaaahahahahahahaha. Good one. :roll:0 -

You're not all "thick" huh? You're watching OPRAH for Gods sake. Think about it.
If you "...know it's Oprah..." then why bother.
I hate to ask a favor but could someone please keep track, for me, of how many pensive expressions Oprah uses, how many times she leans forward in her chair and strokes her chin with an interested look on her face, how many times she uses the word healing, that sort of thing. Thanx0 -
I think people are watching it for the Lance Armstrong appearance rather than the opportunity to see Oprah, Dennis. Stop spamming the thread to ruin it and get attention you cretin.0

Olympic Committee asks Armstrong to return his 2000 bronze medal
The International Olympic Committee has stripped Armstrong of the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, an IOC spokesman said Thursday. The committee has told Armstrong to return it.

I doubt it's going to be too much of a concern to him on the grand scale of thing.0 -
Time to leave the thread Dennis. You have nothing to add.
It is Armstrong's first public interview since he was officially sanctioned. Supposedly it will be the first time he publicly admits to doping, it is not clear to what extent this admission will go, or whether he will implicate anyone else. It doesn't matter who the interviewer is - it will still be interesting to watch. Some people may decide that it is sufficiently interesting to lose some sleep for, others won't.0 -

I take it you've never seen an Oprah show? All you have to do is watch part of one and you'll realize that the show isn't about the guest and their "ordeals" at all. It's about Oprah and how wonderful she is. That's why it's called the Oprah show. This particular show is called OPRAH - The Lance Armstrong interview. It's all about her and you're out there looking for and thinking about truth. Use your brains man. This is "show biz" not enlightenment.0 -

Sounds like you've seen the interview already - you seem to know what is going to happen?
Refer to my last post... I like many will watch to see Armstrong answer some questions - the first time he has done so since being officially sanctioned. Who said anything about "looking for and thinking about truth"?
Please stop posting utter nonsense and ruining this otherwise informative forum.0 -

Oh but you're so wrong. Oprah getting involved in all this and LA agreeing to it(or however that worked) is almost as big a farce as LA cheating to win races. And everyone is sucking it up, just like they suck up everything about bike racing, good or bad.0
