Clue is in the jersey and that he is local to today's P-N stage (courtesy of inrng preview).

 I'm not as old as you Andy so all I have seen of him are a handful of photos in his prime.

    I'm not that old! :D

I was meaning more that he was the type of rider you'd have liked, given his impulsive, attacking style.

I often describe myself as the Cyril Dessel of PTP. A top ten in 2006 and sod all since.

OK, this is going to be a bit vague... I recall seeing an old picture of a rider (dutch?) out training with a motor pacer. The motorbike rider was wearing one of those baby carriers containing the racer's young son. The picture was in Pro Cycling or more likely Cycle Sport back in (probably) April/May/June 2013.

Can someone remind me of the rider's name, or better still post a link to the image?

    Thanks!

Zoetemelk. Can't find that picture though.

Thank you! There's a further 20 sec bonification for anyone willing to look back through their old issues and at least give me the magazine details :)

So, I did my own homework and found the picture I was looking for...

    preview_image.aspx?rep=00018457&img=017&tp=195236

Since I've copied his link, I will go to the trouble of recommending that people visit the photographer's (Cor Vos) site:
http://www.corvospro.com/ There are literally hundreds of other great images there.

The photo was published in July 2013 Cycle Sport.

Joop's son, called Karl, went on to become a mountain bike national champion. Can any one think of a better way to spend a bit of father son time?? :)
