Apparently a medal on Wednesday and he'll be the most bemedalled British Olympian.

No, I'm not sure bemedalled is a real word either

Its a far better word than the use of 'medal' or 'podium' as verbs. Just go with it, it sounds old school.
  • The actual word is medallicated.

Wonder if anyone can answer this question as I can find no info. I take it you can turn up to the ticketed areas and gain access at anytime?

Taking my little one with me and I want to arrive for the end of the women's TT and start of the men's TT.

Anyone seen a proper start list for this? I can find who is riding but nothing to tell me who sets off when.

Like TJVG to medal here. I think Canc's injury will prevent him from being at top form. Wiggins should win and Froome should be the favorite for silver.

If Froome is favourite for silver, then cycling still is well and truly fcucked. It's pancake flat and not in the middle of a stage race.

He should get beaten by Pinotti, LL Sanchez, Van Garderen, Phinney, Rogers and probably Boom, Grabsch and a half fit Cancellara.

First TT in the Tour was after 9 days of racing.

To celebrate Britishness surely they should be doing the time trial on the R25/3L with the roads still open to traffic? Only give Johnny Foreigner the course reference and a link to the CTT website and let them work out where it actually starts and finishes. Tea and cake in the village hall after the finish with the tea being free on return of numbers.

You want to know something? I absolutely love riding my bike. And I love the Olympics. I am so damn happy to be here! #London2012

He's also quite excited about the well known epic sex-fest that the olympic village turns into come the 2nd week - especially given he finishes competing on the first Wednesday.

Probably eyeing up a few swimmers already.

will he use this one he created all by himself...??

Old school scrutineering of bikes... No actual technical objections just "don't like the look of that, DQ"

Wiggins for Gold. I really hope he wins. Not just for him, but for GB's first Olympic Gold medal.

(The equestrians have just won Silver, hooray!)

The women's pair will hopefully have won one in the rowing before he even takes the start ramp.

Seriously, try to be a bit consistent. You cant on the one hand celebrate known dopers like Valverde and Contador (and Pantani FFS) then cast snidey comments at a rider who you just 'think' may be doping!!!

I'm not aware of Grabsch being the TT'er he was a few years ago when he was WTT champ. Yes he's still a great diesel and always pulled well for HTC but he's not been a name bandied around as a major player for a while unless it has just been unfavourable parcours. Big fan though, remember him driving it round the champs for HTC a couple of years back to catch the break away... immense. If I ever get a couple of big dogs I'll call them Grabsch and Stannard.

BTW is Pooley's helmet secret squirrel or off the shelf?

What consistency? Do you hear me say Pantani is clean? no. Contador is fine - he has always been brilliant and will continue to be when he gets back. Valverde was superb and has come back and been pretty good - he has a good amount of wins this year and suffered a fair few crashes.

Froome on the other hand is zero to hero. No more discussion on this as has been done several times on 'Froome' threads.

You can't write off a TT WC. He needs very few corners and pan flat though.

Rogers used to be WC...but he has history.
