Guys - looking at today's stage, do we think someone will try to break away on the decent and hold it off till the end? Likely?

Islwyn - Not likely...but it would be good would nt it? Think RSNT still want to hold yellow for as long as possible so i suspe4ct the first 150km will be the Jens and Yaroslav show again, Other Sprint teams (not Cav) will want to get a victory so will help them out

Supposedly a tough and technical end and bad weather is forecast.

The last climb is unclassified but doesnt mean it isnt hard.

We saw what damage something like that can cause if they go for it - Evans' win in Dauphine this year is a good example. Or the stage Vino won a couple years ago.

I personally really like these finishes, although the hill needs to be hard enough.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a full on sprint. With Farrar particularly up for it (US Independence Day).

  • Great EBH pic there. He's probably just exhaling hard but it's the most aggressive I've ever seen him.

"Scientists in Switzerland today announced they have evidence of the existence of the "Hagen Boasson" - the elusive "God" cyclist, so called because of the frequency that commentators are heard to utter "God, what's he doing now?)

From their secret bunker in Aigle, UCI researchers have described the "Hagen Boasson" as the fundamental cycling component, one that is capable of forming any of the more complex rider types - or "flavours" as they are known - such as "sprinter", "rouleur", "puncheur" ,"grimpeur"," GC rider" or "one-day specialist". However, the H-B frequently may not form any of these due to not being arsed.

The discovery has been delayed in recent days due to the detection of a more powerful "anti" element which specifically targets the "Hagen Boasson", The "Sagan Hagen Boasson" has greater mass - which can be converted to ridiculous amounts of energy and thus into velocity. The Sagan Hagen Boasson has been nicknamed the "Christ" particle as in "Christ - do you see what he did today?" A peculiarity of the SHB is that, having knocked the HB out of the chamber, it performs a number of strange, slightly geometric movements, apparently for the hell of it"

Brice Feillu suffering with a 42 degree fever the last 2 days. That's some serious determination, couldn't even imagine a light 30 minute spin feeling like that let alone sticking with the peleton for 2 days

    LOL.

I think he's secured the polka jersey until Saturday when he's going to lose it anyway.

Exactly what he should be doing when the roads go up... at least he's not riding last wheel, again!

    Chapeau.

You, sir, are in the wrong job.
