Sagan! Although his tactics were pretty cheesy.

Anyone see Canc as an outside bet today? Bit of a power/cobble climb to the finish.

Definitely wouldn't rule it out. The final km is only 2% or thereabouts.

    Damn, took 50/1 on betfair.

Easy for Sagan in the end.

Interesting to see Evans immediately look back as he crossed the line. Wondering where Wiggins is?

hmm...someone winning a bike race off the back of a Cancellara effort, who'd have thought?

    No, he's about 12–15th I think.

Loved Chinny waving his arm about there... whys he gonna ride when you're killing yourself to pull him away from the peloton?

Froome was someone who lost time today. There may be others.

    Sagan = wanker

Go cancellera. There is a heavyweight. Even on that ramp he can move his weight to the front.

    No Gerrans

Haha that was Gilbert - never saw him to the end.

    Dan Martin up there : ). : ).

    Valverde up there.

    Basso not.

How would you have ridden in his shoes?

Cancellara was banking on nobody being able to go with him. All Sagan needed to win was sit there and get taken to the line. What's his incentive to ride when his only opposition is wasting himself to his advantage?

Why? Could you explain what he did wrong? He rode a perfect race from where I was sitting

looked like wiggo crossed the line before evans. He was sitting back today not good, however he seemed the come forward when it went uphill easily.

n 1995, on a similar but less hilly Ardennes loop, Johan Bruyneel sat on Miguel Indurain's wheel for 30k in the break before passing him at the line to take the win and the yellow jersey. […] what a slimy wheel-sucker
It was his job to win if possible and if that was the only way he could do it, so be it. Honour is for us amateurs – maybe.
An echo of the past today!

Seriously, have you guys ever watched cycling before?

I bet Cancellara thinks Sagan played it smart and thinks he's a worthy winner.

Cancellara, knowing that finishing in the bunch would keep the jersey, should have sat up and let Sagan give the win away since he would not ride.
