153 starters in the Belgian RR tomorrow!

Roelandts super motivated and has 15 teammates!
“I am extremely motivated to do well for the rest of the season,” Roelandts stated according to Sporza. “In training I have done a lot of work. With the Tour de France in sight, it is about time to reap the benefits.”

“The whole race will be ridden at a high rate of speed, and nowhere is there a short descent where you can recover,” Roelandts said. “People who think that will be easy are mistaken. In terms of wattage, we’ll get close to where we are in a big Classic.

“I don’t pack a big sprint, but if it’s a kick with 40-some riders, I think I can be there. That was the case in Knokke in 2008.”

Pellizotti and Di Luca just sent their "improved" reputation back to the dark ages.

Was a really exciting race. Leaves a bit of a bad taste, but that's cycling I guess. I think Moser was the only one in that front 7 not implicated/accused of doping. That is also cycling, I guess.

Meanwhile, in France, a rider was prevented from starting the race due to an abnormal blood test.

Sounds like Inner Ring knows who it is, unless I'm misreading his tweet.

Just about to write a minor "scoop" or revelation and this appears http://www.lequipe.fr/Cyclisme-sur-rout ... art/293571 (in French) Rider suspended from French champs

no, more that several riders have been quietly told to stop racing during the season. More on the blog in a minute.

    Should be an interesting read.

Don't know if he's been mentioned (not read whole thread) but, Adam Blythe could do well in the Brit Nationals..

Tongue in cheek Iain? Seems like Europcar have been sailing close to the wind.

British women's nats got serious from the gun when Laws, Pooley, Armitstead and Nikki Harris went up the road. Current situation

    Laws and Harris
    Armitstead and Pooley at 20s
Chase group of 6 at 4min

2/3 laps to go (out of 7)

    Courtesy of @Matt_Winston on twitter

British Cycling might look a bit silly if Laws wins this.

She's about a minute ahead of Pooley and Armitstead on the last lap. Clear plan to embarrass the selectors ...

The most confusing cycling watching day of the year.

Also really sucks that nobody is showing Brits live.

Can't see the 'x' to close that ad in the centre of the Belgian stream ?

Ok, in Firefox I right clicked to open the frame that the main coverage plays in in a separate tab and got it that way.

Belgians in awful weather going very slowly.

Still 111km to go. Amorison, Armee, Maes, Scherlinx, van der Sande and Wynants are 5.30 ahead.

Belgians are very Belgian too :D

Chavanel is using the same technique in France (although he was helped when his two breakaway companions crashed into each other).
