Disappointed neither Boonen nor Terpstra are in the Tour?
Cheer up Rick TB has nothing to gain from being in the Tour other than complete exhaustion after a big Classics season or risk being taken out.
If he's rested and at the top of his game at the end of July you'll probably get the opportunity to watch him "do a Roubaix" in the Olympics!0 -

I know I know.
It's just the Tour gets so much coverage...I'd like to see my man in it.
Terpstra too. He always gives good interviews for NOS and Sporza.0 -

Ah yes but the icing on the cake will be his Olympic title. I think that means he has eclipsed the 05 season as he definitely didn't win the Olympic title that year!
I'd love to see him and Cancellara duke it out in a final 30km drag race. It's TB's on the hill and TB's in the last 500m but I'm sure Fabu would turn the wick up before that and try and drop him. Unfortunately unless FC was watching Neighbours during this year's P-R he'll know it isn't going to happen.
I'm starting to get more excited about that race than the Tour...I'll get my coat.0 -

Can the Rules Committee pass judgement on whether EBH should be commuting in his national champs jersey?0

Is he Norwegian commuter champion?
No.
No he is not.
So no. No commuting in jersey.
Good point. Also I don't believe Wiggo was GB training on a Balearic Island champion last year. Is it a sign of the cost cutting times that we have a shrinking Norwegian flag on their champs jersey or is he just too weedy compared to Thor to carry a bigger flag?0 -
Move over Team Sky!
Appleby Ellan Vannin CC took a 1,2 and 3 in the National Road Race Champs yesterday with Darren Bell, Graham Hatcher and Andrew Roche.0 -

Possibly the toughest in Peleton fight club since Hinault?0 -

True, it was eye-catching as an all-over flag, but then you couldn't have a massively visible Sky logo across the front, hence the belly-band version.0 -

I love Boonen. The WC bands make that beautiful0

They should do away with national jerseys. There, I said it. They were OK when there were only six countries in cycling - but nowadays who cares if you're champion of Estonia - it's not a big deal. Some subtle trim OK - but not a full flag. If the Federations want their colours displayed rather than the sponsors, then stump up some cash.Twitter: @RichN950

Terpstra was out training on the route before yesterday's stage in his old QS national jersey since they hadn't made his new one yet.0

Never had Vandewalle down as a good TTer.
Shows how little the Belgians care for TTers.0
