They are reporting that Jack Bauer as gone ars* over tit off the edge of the road and fallen , but is back up and on the bike

Edit: Not sure how true that was - Bauer in still in the break and looks rather unscuffed

The close up just shown showing his ripped shorts would suggest perhaps there was some truth in it after all.

Hows Pozzato looking? I put my life savings on him to win today...
  • Is the Team Sky feed right? Navardauskas a minute behind the main bunch and Balloni a further 2 minutes back?

Haven't seen him. Probably a good thing.

Nav's certainly a minute down on the main bunch (or at least was at the last check given). Nothing on Balloni that I've seen.

Edit: Nav's back in the main group now, 4'43" down on the lead group.

Peloton is barely moving atm. Mass watering of the vineyards.

Rick - wrong coast - Le Marche is the region. Just over 10km to Montelupone. Goodbye to Goss with any luck;)

 who did you go for?

I have a system which i'm dogmatically sticking to come what may. I don't actually pay attention to what everyone else picks till afterwards.

Pippo told the bunch it was natural break time. Emptying excess weight for the imminent attack...

Ah, yes, your 'system'. That doesn't scare me Chasey.

Recon the break will stay away at this rate. 6.22 with 65km to go.
  • The lead group chainganging it at the mo 6 mins ahead.

o/t - they seem to be going from out to in (the left hand side travelling faster), yet when we do it as a club the the right hand side travels faster and comes across in front.

Is it this way round due to driving on the other side of the road?

Believe it or not, Tusher has the obscure Netapp rider, Cesare Benedetti.
  • Liquigas all at the front of the chasing group...Garmin nowhere so obviously not too bothered about keeping in pink

Think Cleat had Lastras... but he crashed out of the break.

That's gotta smart; for both of them.

Everyone else in the breakaway must be so cheesed off watching.

Gap coming down pretty fast now. Under the 1m per 10km thingy.
  • there's some serious bobbing shoulders and rocking going on in the peleton trying to get up that slope!!
