Really? I never thought they were that bad. (some of the odd trails in the woods are a mite hairball but the actual DH and a few of the others off to the right were OK.

I did a short spin in the local park today - hour and half or so in 32 degrees - my bike smeared ina layer of brown powder. Then rode for a couple of hours in the bike park using the lift - had some fun.

Whinlatter for me today, didn't have much time (had to get back to look after my kids) so just did a quickish lap of the red north route. Great fun and it's finally drying out.

Yesterday I did the beast of Brenin and mucked about at the start of the blue at Coed Y Brenin, awesome day and the weather was good.
This morning we went and did the Marin trail in the rain, It was ok and the last bit left us wanting more so just done a lap around Llandegla.

    Tired now.

Messed about at Cannock, did a lap and half of the XC, dicked about on a couple of sections for a while, then did some hills for the sake of it, then just pedalled around randomly to put some more distance in and kill time.

All in all very good fun.
  • pushed up the gondola hill at queenstown bike park. gondola doesn't open till the end of september so until then i'm pushing up.

Scarborough to Whitby and back down the old cinder path, a good 50 mile round trip, first time down there so didn't know what to expect. Good day out with work mates!
  • Did a 34 mile road ride over the Llanberis Pass, next to Snowdon. Holy ###tfu##ba###rd there was a strong wind out today.
  • I did a fantastic little ride this morning through a couple of glens next to my house. Only 6 miles or so, and nothing particularly rad. Just....nice. As it happens, they go pretty much from my front door to the office. WIN!
  • Not today but yesterday. Me and the mrs rode the green trail at brechfa. Was really good wish I could do it again soon but it's too far for me too drive every weekend 150miles!!!!
  • 22 miles on the road bike around some country lanes, as the mtb is in for repair. 14 months since I rode the road bike last. I forgot how smooth my Shimano 105 is! It was lovely but I still prefer MTBing

What a day, suns out, not to hot, not to cold and the trails are dry. A couple of hours free to get out in the Chilterns around Wendover.

Snuck an extra 12 km onto my ride to work today, taking in the Minley Torq 12:12 racecourse on the way in. Happy, happy days.

  • I got in 10-12 laps of the bike park - probably my last ride there for the season (might squeeze in a couple of hours this weekend). Fun although I ended up riding with a slow friend which limited my speed and fun and then I got a puncture from not listening to my own advice.

    Marin Trail yesterday.

Highlight of the afternoon was a very, and I mean very, attractive police officer (she was lovely) advising people not to leave any valuables in the car as there had been a recent spate of thefts.

    Trail wasn't bad either!

Ride home was nice too. Wall to wall sunshine. Turned a dull day into a 50km beauty.

Lap of the dog at dawn, followed by 7 hours of 'systems thinking' immersion. Oh the joy.

  • went down to bath pool to find the tree hugger track, eventually found it after riding through the woods for abit but it was really battered and most of it not really usable.
