been to llandegla for the first time today. really enjoyed it but its too short with too much boring stuff, but was more than made up for with the decent bits. ended up going round twice, but disaster struck about three quarters of the way round when by riding buddy got a puncture. no problem you think, except he was riding his 29er and had an inner tube from his 26er with him. FAIL!

Managed to borrow a stumpy elite and a helmet light for my first night ride at this mountain bike park in Nelson, NZ.

Great fun, and quite a few other bikers, all who are really friendly and willing to show you round.

I went for a blast around Rivington last night and managed to pop a tube with a spoke. It's time to learn about wheels now.

Was in Wales for a meeting so managed a quick trip to Cwmcarn on the way home, would have been rude not to. Fantastic day for it but by god it was hot on the climb.

Saturday I did a couple of laps round the Ashton Court trail in Bristol. First time since they re-did it, quite impressed.

What's this place like? I've not been able to get much of an impression from the website i've seen. We keep doing fod and it's a tiresome doing the same thing all the time.

Its a grear facility for Bristol riders but I find it a bit pedally and that they've tried to cram a bit too much in. Leigh woods is much more fun imo.

18km on the bridleways near me just before sunset. I really attacked it and was about 10 minutes quicker than normal, which felt really good.

Just a short one on a few bridleways nearby, but its my first ride in ages and it was to test out the bike that I've just finished building this morning. All it has done is made me really really want to get out and do some propper riding on it.

Penmachno, but just the first loop in this heat. Which was probably a good call, because it's now reached unbearable degrees C.

I ruled the towpath of the Leeds Liverpool canal I sessioned it. Was nice in the pub beer garden though and the ride back was nice and wobbly.

Just found lewigh woods on google maps. Are there man made tracks there or is it tracks that have been carved out by repeated riding?

Also how do you access it by vehicle? I can see an un-named road off the A369 between Valley road and Home Farm road is this it?

    Where do you ride here?

I went there once after looking at the fire path on google maps and thinking it seemed quite big but it turned out to be pants.

I'd go back there if there was something worth doing!

Very short ride at Glentress, scouting out the last section I didn't know for the enduro tomorrow. Only about 6 or 7 miles, to keep the legs fresh as tomorrow's going to be a long day! Ridiculously hot, I wish it'd get back to snowing.

    Stint round Cannock, ridiculously hot.

Be good if they could fix a lot of the trail on Monkey, lots of ruts from the weather and use on the downhills at the switchbacks, all in all a good day out.

Same again, but a lap of Tandle Hill Country Park which has some really rooty bits so a nice extra challenge.

Cannock also, very dry, dusty and hot but was good.

Agree on the rutting at the switchbacks, however my mate floated over those holes on his full sus while I was gripping my bars for dear life.
