Nice one, though I doubt we could get folks to hang around Axe Edge (or similar) in March for very long!0 -
I think I've got a good route, it's very steady at the beginning, couple of climbs, stop at Rudyard Lake, few more climbs and back.
Not too long, not too hard and I've finally managed to incorporate my favourite tiny little bit of hairpin hill.

Right, final route. Cafe stop is Blaze Farm near Algreave. If we're all knackered there's a bit we can miss out that has a stunning section along the river near Macc Forest.
It's in the first post too.

Had a do of the first half of this up to Rudyard Lake then headed home on Saturday, pleased mostly but a bit of tweaking before Mow Cop. The climb up Mow Cop (Mow Lane) is excellent, far better than the 'killer mile'. It is, I am reliably informed, Kristian Hause's favourite UK climb. Nice and steady with pleasant greenery rather than short and steep with houses everywhere...
The climb then descent to Rudyard is also great!
There is the possibility of either a cafe stop at Rudyard or carry on the Blaze Farm.
After the cafe stop there I have built in a 'bailout' route that's easily used by people with GPX as it crosses the normal route...
Most importantly, I need to get a lot fitter and lose a sh!tload of weight!Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

It is a nice climb Alex, just spoilt by it being a ratrun for geezers from Congleton to Biddulph, so making it a tad busy for such a small lane.
We returned via it on Sunday and traffic levels was amazing high.. I seen the adjacent A34 quieter.. almost.0 -
I would like to join you guys....just got to wait for my work roster to be published. It's a great route with terrific scenery and that bit along the river by Macc Forrest is probably my favourite bit of road.....

Glad someone else appreciates it! It's a bit of an incentive not to do the bailout routeInsta: ATEnduranceCoaching
