Right, do we have anyone who wants to play out?

Sun 18th March, Macclesfield Leisure Centre 10am

With help from http://www.cyclestore.co.uk we have some Accelerade nutrition goodies.

All packed ready for Sunday-

Route can be tailored towards the end if we're all knackered.

Weather looking pretty good for this time of year.

Thanks for posting this up. Despite the bad weather, we had a good turn out last year and here's hoping we can continue the great tradition!

I'm going to going to suggest Sunday, March 18 to everyone. Unless there's a solid reason to NOT do it on that day, hopefully we can start planning....

Actually that day suits me best in march.

    Right.

    It's 18th March.

I'll get cracking on a route.

In (our) collective experience - it's best to just pick a date and run with it. Some will make it and some won't. Dems da breaks. Let's hope mid-March brings warm weather!

And given the collective pace of the group, don't make it TOO hilly!

The 18th would work for me - busy month that month but if I am free would love to give it another go, and hopefully not get spat out the back again. Although I will say everyone was very helpful in pacing me back, perhaps 12 months on I might of improved a little.

    I'm in, provisionally.

No idea what job role I will have end of January, so no idea what work commitments will be. More worried about my finess, having been off the bike since June. Had to be pushed on a club run over the festive period!

Would like to join in too, though I think the 2010 pace would suit me better than last years.

I don't understand this modern fashion of Sunday weddings at all.... it's bad enough when someone drops a bleedin christening of a April race date....

    Mother's Day? Awwww FFS.

Well - do mothers/wives prefer to have the husbands out of the house for the day? Is the Saturday (17th) a better option? Or the week before (11th)?

I shall be a  and ride in whatever.. but need to know date for sure soon as the rota is soon to be prepped.
  • Would love to come , but been off the bike a whole year so don't think I'd have the required fitness to join.

No good to me as first road race is on then, so the 18th 19th weekend would be a nice day for a jaunt and the weather always sets fair :)

17th/18th is the only day weekend I can do and it suits Colin. So sorry folks who can't come :(

Me too, I have already promised to spend the night before at the in-law's down south (err, and signed up for a nice and tough ride in Beaminster whilst I am there :) ).

I am with the "pick a date and stick to it or it will end up messy" approach (even the week before and after now clash for me with the Epic and Barry's Buster).
