Snuck in a KOM on the way back from RP. Bit disappointed there are only 3 SCRers on it, as it's a good effort :D

OK So I added 1.1mph onto my average speed going home (14.0mph) compared to the 12.9mph going to work.

My speedo had me topped out at 32.1mph (Strava says 30.4) going from Balham Tube to Tooting Bec. But I had to slow for a car :x so my average is 18.2mph

I topped out at 28mph along London Bridge until a cross wind frigthend the life out of me and I slowed the 'F' down.(Strava says 40.3 and an average of 20.7mph - which is clearly wrong).

For me, 17st in Jan (nervous/comfort eating) that is impressive.

Data is all there for people to see.
    Food Chain number = 4

The wind dropped and the traffic parted as I span like a loon over Putney Bridge. 29s but reckon I could squeeze a couple more if the planets align....

2 PBs for me too, which was nice, (Blackfriars to WB and Millbank South). Still just outside top 10 for each though...

Increased the gap on one KOM of mine and got another on a flat section :?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Wouldn't worry, most efforts end mid table unless you're hammering it in search of a PB. I'd need a tailwind and a tow to get close to the sharp end of the table on many of the Embankment segments.

Well twas quite tailwind-y tonight on the OKR. No idea how PuffTMW has an extra 4mph going over the flyover :(. And I got the not a KOM but a KOM issue over Westminster Bridge. Not too bad though.

Is it cos I is faster? ;)

I had a clear run at it plus there was some chap struggling near the top so wanted to see how quickly I could catch him & overtake (nonchalently of course). Speed down OKR was good until Ilderton - poxy traffic lights :(

The power calculation on Stava has suddenly started working for me.

God, I'm a weakling. Need to get into the gym.

Power is averaged on the segment, have a look at the performance graph you can see max power peaks. If it is accurate* i generate over a kilowatt in a sprint....

    * I know it probably not

Hey, see you knocked a few seconds off your time tonight - nice one :)

Still 1 sec slower than me though ;)

That's more like it. Just found a peak of over 1200w for one of my trips; back to the sofa for me. Phew.

Listing what bike you're riding should be mandatory - and verified (unrealistic I know, but it's hurting my self-esteem). I feel like a mega weakling down in 8/10 of a segment at nearly half the average speed as the KOM. But then I have to tell myself that he's probably not trying to climb on a 40lb+ commuting tank complete with Panniers and more lights than Las Vegas at night - and if he is, he should enter next years TDF, he'd probably do ok! I can't wait to break out the Addict for the commute in Summer so I can tear up the hill at a more respectable pace!!

Which oddly is good for my self esteem in that inspite of fairly stiff gearing and fair weight of bike. I'm not the last, some i'm even nr the top!

I think we should run a jockey style weight penalty. Then I would always be in the top as I'd probably not have much extra to carry. Jus' sayin'.

We should run a Richmond Park handicap, where everyone has to strap on weights until we all weigh the same as the heaviest person then do a lap. My guess is that JZed would win and I wouldn't come last.... Would be interesting to see if I could beat Jon Ginge up dark will if he has 7 stone strapped to his back....

Should be able to rank people by their average power - to weight ratio over the segment, as well as time. (for those with power metres).
