Lost a KoM today. Not too unhappy as I'd held it since November 2010.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I lost three in about five minutes on Saturday to that Rowsell girl :-(

(There's only about ten girls near me who actually use Strava so me getting them wasn't exactly an achievement in the first place!)

True! I'm under no illusion that I'll get them back, and lets face it, she was probably on a recovery ride anyway!

I lost 50% of my KOMs a few days ago, that leaves me with one. I might be the fastest bloke of my age group riding a green bike on a few though.

Maybe I should get a red bike then. I seem to recall Colin's new bike is a red one and it would appear to be faster.

Do any of the Pros out today use Strava? I can see a few unhappy Embankment (ex)KOM holders tomorrow if so...

A few did yesterday - Ten Dam, Boom, Lopez, Terpstra, Ted King - nothing to worry the Cragg Vale KOM though.

My 10 minutes up Cote de Cray is only 1:30 slower than the peloton. I'm wierdly pleased with that!

'Only' 315 watts for that effort though. Clearly it's just the equipment, right. Right?
I reckon with a £10k bike and a leadout train of JG, Rower63, OKGO and a few coaches that I could get close* :D

*close... within a few seconds maybe?

Only a second faster though and that was probably as a peloton so with a super tow and a clear route it could be possible! (not by me let me add).

Those stats are immense. First 80 miles 25.2mph average, 162w and average heart rate of 103bpm.

The stage was a lot slower than I was expecting. A decent e12 race would cover that route at the same pace, bar the last few miles.

For most of the peloton that was not much more than a rest day, 160w is amazingly low, but then he would not have shown his face in the wind at all as he is not a sprinter!

i have always suspected that quite a few of the times through Blackfriars tunnel are bogus - good to see that LTD could only manage 38s - avg sped of 75 km/h !

Started following a couple yesterday and got the daily email from Strava this morning, the list of PRs/KoMs from them filled the page and I had to scroll down to see all the activities.

The ToB when it comes to Bristol will push a few people down the leader board on this segment.

My placing will be unaffected :)

Bit different when you've just had a pretty heavy two days beforehand, and you know you've got to race for another 6 days after that....

It will have an effect yes, but two days racing in their legs is nothing. Flat stages with a tailwind in the tour are usually very quick, that wasn't really. 160w tells you all you need to know really.

What, that you are good enough to ride the Tour?

No, that is was almost a rest day for most of the peloton. I think you could manage 160w for 4 hours.

Got an 'uh-oh' email just before setting off on this morning's ride, had to put it right, fortunately traffic and wind direction played ball.

why isnt that a slowest time award i'd be king of all of those, although tonight it was chucking it down and I enjoyed every soaking wet minute, was proper steep in places as well.
