That's got to be a painful experience when you are coming around one hairpin and can see the lead group just above you but know that it's at least 40 secs before you're going to be there :(

Voeckler looks in a world of trouble. I think the peloton will chew him up and spit him out the back..

Voeckler's cadence looks painfully low. Doesn't he know that in order to climb faster when on the rivet, all you need to do is put it in a lower gear.

Not sure Evans can pull that group along for 65km on his own!

Voeckler back in the peloton. Hopefully he can just sit in there until the summit.

Voeckler has already gone back to the bunch, or rather what is left of it.

Poor old Evans must be thinking that yesterday never ended, and he's just hallucinated a good nights rest. Here he is again towing his competitors up the Galibier after AS. Only difference is Contador's up there with him today.

I reckon there may be more than 100 outside the time limit today.

Risky move by Evans, closing gap but has lost potential assistance out the back.

Question: when a GC guy has a mechanical this late in the race, does Race radio announce that to the teams?

Gap is going nowhere, they may hold on out front but I don't think it will be by enough. The effort AS and Evans have put in over the last couple of days they could finish outside the time limit in the TT

there is no real cover in the wheels or not

its just going to be who has it come the alpe

its not like a large group turns up at the base all fresh from sitting in all day...everyone is close to the limit
