TV needed to ride with his head and his heart and not kill himself too early.

    Exactly.

He should learn from the other day when he took too many risks on that descent and nearly blew it completely.

He still has a podium very much in his sights if he keeps his head. And a deserved one it will be.

Evans will make up time on the descent. If the time goes out between Andy and him it will make the TT tighter.

    What a sh1tter for Evans.
You might have had a response from a pro cyclist on Twitter, you may even have chatted to a 'journo', but ultimately, you still know nothing. You're not an insider, no matter how much you wish you are.

dont think its a long enough descent to make an impact

Cadel will be in yellow tonight. AS and AC will be blown out the back by the end.

Looks like El Pistelero will have to ride into the wind for 100km. At least Andy had a good handful of help yesterday on three occasions.

Think that's probably Cadel's new plan, can't believe the luck of Cadel and Tommy V. All i can say is i hope to see them pull it back, and i hope a certain schleck blows.

What did Kimmage once say? 'There are no such thing as fairy-tale endings in bike racing'. Let's hope that Voeckler can get it together, perhaps with Evans as he comes back up.

I can hardly believe that all this is happening even before they have reached the top of the Telegraph. I rode the Marmotte route a couple of weeks ago, just after the official event, and there is just so far to go even to the top of the Galibier. What’s more the overall is so close that the whole race could have still been won and lost if they were all still together with only the last 5km of Alpe d'Huez to go!

My heart is in my mouth so much that I am not even sure that I am enjoying watching this!!!

Schleck went 40 of his 60km behind Monfort. This would be 90K on his own.
