Their cobbles team is clearly one of the strongest in the peloton, plus they got 3rd at Amstel and 5th at LBL this year.0 -

Don't you mean their team is clearly cobblers0 -

Oh really?
Het Nieuwsblad - 2nd (Flecha), 3rd (Hayman)
K-B-K: 1st (Sutton)
Dwars DV: 2nd (Thomas)
Gent-Wevelgem: (Stannard not far from winning it)
RVV: 10th (Thomas)
Roubaix: 9th (Flecha), 10th (Hayman)
Amstel: 3rd (Gerrans)
LBL: 5th (Uran)
That's one win, five podiums, 9 top tens. That's pretty decent.Twitter: @RichN950 -
(rumour of the day) Richie Porte to Sky? Yes, according to a few French sites.0
-
So the Sky 11...
Arvesan retiring confirmed
Henderson - Greenedge?
Pauwels - BMC
Downing
Hunt
Knees
There's a few other Aussies - Sutton, Gerrans, Hayman, Rogers - must be very tempting for them to be Greenedge bound
Of the others my guesses....
Augustyn
Froome0 -

There's a few oldies still there like Carlstrom, Cioni and Barry who may be seen as surplus to requirements. Henderson's going to Lotto, apparently.
I'm sure they'll keep Knees, unless he has had a better offer.
My best guess would be: Arvesen, Henderson, Pauwels, Carlstrom, Barry, Downing, Hunt, Gerrans*, Hayman*, Augustyn, Cioni.

Nordhaug was due to go I thought? Cant see why they would renew his contract.
Hunt, Barry, Henderson, Pauwels, Arvesan are all likely to go.
Hayman, Sutton Gerrans they would like to keep but it does seem possible both could go to Greenedge which would be a shame i think. All 3 I thought were quite happy at Sky.
Rogers I cant see going as his contract has at least another year. Would be supraised to see him leave as I'm sure he would feel he owns at least 1 performance in a sky jersey!
Downing leaving would be a massive shame. He hasn't picked up as many wins this year but it does look like the Giro really put him through the ringer. Thought he would be deff worth keeping even to be nothing but a workhorse.
Froome and Augustyn have both been a little underwhelming. Froome had his massive chance to really shine in California and that would be a likely reason why he would not be getting a new contract. Augustyn has just been hamped with some unlucky crashes and injuries which have hamped him for 2 years. Think his time maybe up also.
So it it really is 11 that are going I'd say it would be:
Froome
Augustyn
Hunt
Barry
Henderson
Pauwels
Arvesan
Gerrans
Sutton
Nordhaug
11th being Downing but resigned due to public peer pressure! (Well II'm hopeful over this :P)0 -
Any chance Downing would get an offer from another Pro Tour Team?0
-
Nordhaug isn't going anywhere.
Likely leavers.
The unwanted: Augustyn, Carlstrom, Cioni, Downing, Hunt, Pauwels,
The want to leavers: Henderson
The retired: Arvesen
The Green Edgers they'd like to keep: Hayman, Gerrans, Sutton

As well as the who is out, there is also the question of whose names will be added to the Sky bus...
Henao [confirmed]
rumours... Cav, Eisel, Porte, Rowe
space for a few more methinks. Any other rumours I've missed out?0 -

They were on the same junior team and Degenkolb was the no.1. But that was in the juniors...Twitter: @RichN950 -

That explains why Gerrans finally pulled his finger out and got a result, must have been negotiating his money at the time!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Will the curse of Leferve strike again, or does the fact that Martin has no pedigree as a GT rider mean he escapes?
Looking at the season they've had this year I think QS will take anybody who is going to get them some wins. It does seem an odd choice for him though, would have expected him to go to Radioshack, Astana or any other team with a penchant for stage races though."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Anyone else think this is strange?
Surely he won't be roped into classics racing?
If not, QS get another guy who will finish top 20 like de Weert.

Not at all. Both Lefevre's and BCC's (OmegaP) Pro Tour contracts end this year, and QS is pretty much at the bottom of the World Tour ranking. The only other teams with expiring contracts are Garmin and Saxo - no points problems there.
Of the new recruits Peter Velits has plety of promise, but not too many points this year. Boonen gets lots of publicity, but not much results. Martin has loads of points.
Must also mean Lefevre doesn't count on getting Gilbert anymore...0 -

Ah that's a shame.
I'd love to see Phil in the same team as Tom.0 -
The EBH to Saxo thing has popped up again today.
He and his agent have denied it so it must be true.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Hopefully Sky are doing everything they can to keep him though.0

After the season he has had with Sky surely he should think again?0
