    Or Downing

Pate's Twitter is of no help - its mainly bitching about bank accounts and email or trying to sell off a (presumably ex-Garmin) Felt bike.

Mind you, there are riders below Pate in the food chain getting reasonable team slots so you'd have to be hopeful.

Yes, his twitter's not one of the best. Do hope he gets a slot soon though, he must have been kicking himself after leaving Garmin last year.

And hopefully Russ Downing will announce his new team soon (although I still think it's a terrible shame he'll not be staying with Sky)

Freire signs to Rabobank for another year.

Added: Except it seems he hasn't. Maybe they've signed Cavendish?

It seems to me Sky are going all out for the inaugural works team times trial next year. Pate, Wiggins, Froome, Porte et all should be more than contenders?

Not a transfer as such, but Sutton and Hayman have both re-signed with Sky. so no GreenEdge for them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Chris Sutton will be the new Mark Renshaw.

Add in Rogers, EBH, Thomas and Dowsett - one seriously strong unit provided they operate well as a team. I wonder if there will be a TTT in the TdF next year?

KA Arvesen is doing his last race today, but he's staying at Sky as a DS

They've got so many ex-riders as DSs they'll soon have more of them than current riders!

Yeah I KNOW that but with Sky a rider retires and the next thing they're a DS - which was the point I was trying to make.

I am still wondering what point that is? Negative? seems to be these riders who make good road captains ala Arveson are tailor made DS material.

If Sky end up riding Spesh then that will sum up my reservations about this move. IE. All for one, one for one.

Sky will be on Penereleleleleleeeeeeos next season. British Cycling (Sky management) have been working with them for years. Cant see that working relationship being turfed aside for Cav. The story seems to be more about getting Spesh some exposer in the Media.
