When you bought your HT did it come with the 317 or 319 wheels and the Elixir R or 7s?
Im trying to work out if the BB30 problems are on the older bikes or the newer ones or just all of them!

Managed to service my BB on my own, piece of piddle... just needed the confidence to hit the spindle hard enough lol!!
Re-greased an creak free!!
Just bought some grip too! not yet fitted though!

Hi northern monkey, what was the size of allen key to remove the crank non drive side, my bottom bracket has started creaking, so needs servicing

New grips and matchmaker clamps installed!

how do you like the matchmakers? i think they should come as a freebie from sram!0

They seem pretty good, took me ages to set the position with both clamps but about 5 mins with the matchmakers.
Took me a while to figure out how they all fitted together, but have let me move levers inboard so I have more room for my fingers on the grips and am still able to reach the brakes/gears.0 -

do you use a torque wrench when you tighten the crank arms out of interest? ie the little screw with the space between it.
am paranoid about doing a BB service without a torque wrench and over tightening that little screw more than 12-14Nm :shock:London2Brighton Challange 100k!

So.. time to update an old thread...
As some may have seen, I've had the Boardman up for sale for a while, had quite a bit of interest but nothing solid.
So this weekend I took it out to Afan to ride The Wall, and it aint for sale anymore haha.
Was such a brilliant ride, made me think twice about selling it.
Got some good vids today following Squarepants down some of the trails, will post them up later... but It was surprising how refreshing it was to ride a lighter XC hardtail.. But it really does take some abuse!

Well you kept up with me everywhere :shock:
Graveyard especially is very rocky but the Boardman swallowed it all with out incident from what I could tell! I do think it was faster in places as like you said you've it flowed and held its speed better than me soaking all the little climbs up..
