Cav was kicked off TdFthe stage for doing much less than that to Thor Hushovd (Dutch are on Pettachi's side though!)

Petacchi moved off his line, but not enough to get relegated IMO.

Understandable tbf, i'd be suprised if anything happened about it though.

Cav nearly lost his bike, before he lost his cool.

Good luck getting an Italian victory on the first stage of the Giro chalked off!

He could have actually overhauled Petacchi there if he didn't lose momentum trying to correct himself.

Petacchi looked away straight away, he know he did wrong.

Sore loser. Get your fast shoes on.

He would have won had he been wearing white shoes rather than those awful black things.

Nice work Petacchi, I thought you had lost some power in these power sprints.

Looks worse every time I see it. Love how he avoided communicating with Cav after they crossed the line. Sign of a guilty man...

Italian race, Italian team, Italian rider, poor Italian image with all the doping at the minute.

Don't think Petacchi will get DQ'd somehow.

Don't see too much wrong with it myself - Petacchi is entitled to move across to the barrier, if Cav didn't want him to he shouldn't have lost half a bike length to him.

Remember in the Tour last year when Cavendish credited Alejet with helping him sort his head out. And called him a gentleman

Not good form drifting right across to the left when he took the right hand side to start his sprint. Clearly was looking to block. and then drifted back right as soon as Cav went to the right to take him.

Cav has every right to be p*ssed at Petacchi and a clear sign of his guilt when he avoided to look over at Cav.
