No worries - updated for pds, Rolf and Toontra. Perhaps it may be better to leave the update for a couple of days next month to allow late posters.

    Et Tu, PDSTSP?

Paul, are you still in the challenge? Not showing in June update or have I missed something? :D

No - I missed out in January due to illness and work crap - shame really as I'd be showing fairly well after training for and doing LEJOG and a long weekend round Mont Ventoux and the Gorges du Verdon, but hey ho worse things happen.

Still in & just updated - new 'puter has resulted in trouble getting updates done.

    Hopefully all sorted now!

    :( July = Fail.

Well that's me out. Have barely had time to scratch myself the last couple of months, and the weekend just gone was my last opportunity to stay in. Even went out riding on both days, in glorious weather too, but just too many other things that had to get done.

Could have, should have... just didn't.

Good luck to all still in!

Here it is - I know its the 1st of the month - if you haven't yet posted then pm me and I can update. I am sitting at home with a bunch of stitches in my neck from a small op this morning with nothing much to do but compile this list: (Actually I've got loads to do and if the wife finds me sat here she'll go mad but you lot are far too important to ignore)

Beaten this year by a combination of unexpected work travel, a house renovation project that has gone on far too long, and the wettest July (more than 300 mm of rain) in over 60 years.

I'll be back for sure next year, chasing the Lantern Rouge prize again!

  • Thanks to Daibhi and Pdstp for keeping things going. I've barely had time to ride but even more than that I've not been on bike radar for a couple of months. So I've only just updated, which is now so late that it would be reasonable to eject me. I'm way off my target anyway and down on the last years.

Congratulations indeed. That is a fantastic achievement. I wonder if you were amongst the 1000 or so riders I watched pass through my local village of Meneac?

Meneac that name seems familiar though strangely i thought i had been there more than twice during the ride. Only managed 84h here., Great ride Toontra.

Simply completing that ride is an heroic effort in my book. Well done.

Evening all - will post the August update on Sunday if thats ok - away for a couple of days and as a few people have been a bit slowish to update the last couple of months I think a day or two's grace is allowable.

Hope you enjoy your break Paul, I had burger all to do at work this morning so I've updated to the end of Aug. please feel free to check and change anything, there are a couple of question marks for latecomers. (OK I'll admit it, it's a thinly veiled attempt to move myself up the rankings)

last year a ride of 50k solo was hard for me. Now, suddenly, 100k solo (in admittedly good weather) feels like business as usual. I wonder if my resolve will survive the winter .

Surprising how the challenge gets you out once a month, even when you don't want to.
Last Decembers ride was up and down the main road trying to find safe icefree sections.Took most of the day and needed to pop home for the lights en route.
