What, like with those 2008 Giro samples?
No way Pat will want to open that can of worms.
He'll pull a Kim Anderson, once again.

There were also indications that four of the athletes had shown clear signs of transfusions, including three riders from the same team. They had been targeted in out of competition controls.

Was Bertie's plastic tainted blood the blood he gave during the rest day? The same stuff that had the Clembuterol in it?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

    @ratsbey
  • With all the retesting as things develop, won't they run out of pi$$?... Just pondering

    The day before IIRC?

Do you work for the daily mail or something? No where in that article does he say he is "dead in the water"

He just states the obvious like the chimp he is..

I wonder if Fat Pat will ever be able to tell us something we don't already know..

Apologies. I'll try to only use direct quotes in the future.

McQuaid is just saying it's possible Contador doesn't ride in July. Given he has a positive A+B samples, you'd say that scenario is within the realms of possibility. Not sure if there's anything that new?
  • LOL
  • Looks like all of the major news sources are interpreting this as highly unlikely Alberto will be in the Tour just going through all of the headlines and stories.
"It is not a good place to be for Contador," McQuaid said. "We could assume that it's a possibility that he will not be at the Tour de France."

Agreed. You can tell Iain is getting all hot under the collar at the possibility of Contador not being on the scene and defeating his rivals left right and centre

    Agreed.

Blimey. I never thought I'd put Iain in the same category as Thatcher, but he too appears to have been savaged by a sheep!

That's not completely true. His circuits do experience a slight frisson every time Mr Basso tweets a picture of himself...

Not true. I couldn't give a flying wotisit about pictures. I certainly don't get any visual pleasure from images of cyclists.

They are, but I think only about 10% of the male population are turned on by visuals of men, with shaved legs, wearing lycra.

2 year ban according to this UCI chap: http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/7114/ ... r-ban.aspx

Looks like Pedersen is saying "he's got a banned substance, that's a two year ban" without offering much more insight.

I suppose the ruling will come soon... followed immediately by an appeal.

If he cops a 2 year ban for this would i be right in thinking he has 'threatened' to pack cycling in completely ?.

Yeah, completely for about 9 months once the ban is reduced on appeal for all the help he provided to the anti-doping authorities, all of course while never admitting he doped.

There's a difference between 'turned on' and massive platonic excitement.

I wonder if it'll turn into the same scenario as the CERA stuff that caught quite a few out.
