ha ha  not open yet hoping to be open next week, ive been struggling to get any bikes but got some sorted although theyre not up to my usual high standards, i think it will be next year before i get some decent stock. if you ever want sleepless nights and instant stress related weight loss then open a bike shop

Excellent! They're quite tough to get dialled in properly. For ages they were either too firm over small stuff, or suffered from terrible brake dive. Once you find that Sweet spot though, they are properly sorted forks.
Still don't think I'd pay full price for them though.

Thanks again to Spectrum Sport for a great deal

I have actually finished this bike now, officially! There's nothing I want to change.

It's a brilliant all-rounder, been out a few times with the DH boys on the champs courses, can't fully keep up, but make decent enough pace.
Then did an XC race on Sunday. Was getting destroyed on the climbs, but absolutely killed them all on the descents!
It's very much Jack of all trades, master of none, but that's exactly what I was after.

Next up is a lightweight 100-120mm FS XC bike. That'll not be for a while though. :D
  • Glad to hear the bike is treating you well man, it looks absolutely stunning. I'm also a fan of a bit more of a do it all type bike rather than being extremely good in one area. Limits you a bit too much I think.

go silver as the gold could risk mucking up the colour scheme.

Well done on bike of the year mate, it takes a lot of time, money and tarttness :D to build a bike like that.
  • Gold to match the stanchions IMHO FTW WOP.
  • Congratulations man! Absolutely lovely looking bike!

I've got a picture of it up on my wall that I printed off, had it there ofr months!
  • That is no officially my desktop.

PS- Sorry you've got to sell it, I can only guess the amount of time, money and care that's gone into it.
  • Now Officially the Crudcatcher bike of the year :D

And well deserved. It's a cracking looking bike :D

Now for a boring question! What's the front mudguard that you're using on it?

It's a Mucky Nutz Bender Fender 2.0 in white, I've got exactly the same thing on my rig.

Cheers matey, I'm just gonna order one now :)
  • Reluctantly, the bike of the year is being split and sold :( - see thread in classifieds for prices etc.

    family stuff mainly.

rest assured though, the funds from the sale are being put to one side and will be added to on a semi-regular basis in the hope I can get back into MTB at a later date and build another Bike of the year (whatever year that may be).

It's been a blast, thanks for all the comments.

    Laters dudes and dudettes.
