OMG! Just saw this today and wow! I'm still half way thru my poo 456 an here you are with a brand new frame again. What happened with your chocolate orange? Oh well..
Black bars: win!
Orange stem: i dunno, black one looks great already; matches the other blacks
Blue stem: maybe.
Cheers!0 -
Looking lovely CWNT... I'd say blue chainring bolts, they would tie in nicely with the orange crank arms mate
Or 2 blue, 2 orange0 -
Update time:
Over the last couple of days I've ordered:
Chromag Ranger stem - Blue
Fire Eye Bars - White
KCNC Chainring Bolts - Blue
KCNC Jockey Wheels - Blue
Alligator Sawtooth Rotors 185mm
and some Straitline Levers - Orange
Just one delivery of shiny bits arrived today though
My new Straitline levers, and they are rather sexy!

Quiet you!
Anyway, this is YOUR bIoody fault. If you hadn't forced me to spend so much money on a stem, I'd not have felt the need to buy all this other stuff to go with it.0 -
ahhhh but the problem you have now is that you will need to buy new bits to go with all the other bits too :twisted:Viner Salviati

"**Please Note-These Levers are NOT compatible with the new XT M775 levers."
Bugger! Oh well...0 -
Some new shiny arrived today:
Fitted to the bike, (that ranger stem is damned sexy by the way):
Next step is trying to sort out those brake lines. Never done it before so could be interesting.
Tomorrow, my new rotors, chainring bolts, and jockey wheels should arrive, then I THINK we're about finished (of course, in reality, I know they are NEVER really finished).0 -
Looking pretty sexy CWNT, damn you and your blue bling, really got me eying up the same components for the dog :x (maybe cheaper alternatives ay )
It's getting close to the time I am gonna buy me and the wife fender benders too, have you seen the new version?0 -
That stem is epic mate.0
-
Kiblams Indeed I have, I'm actually thinking I will probably get one. I love the one I've got, but it's not the best fit on the pikes, especially using wide tyres, the new ones are supposed to have improved fit. They do an epic job of keeping spray out of your face though, without clogging up with mud, and without looking shlte like neo-guard things.0
-
Black would certainly look better than the white/transparent too, though I think they have extra colours now so orange might be possible  And as i have suspension this winter i can take advantage of them
Need a bit of advice bud, I think I've got small blue accents all over the Dog (Stem cap, Frame bolts, lock-ons and QR levers for seat tube and wheels) but I really can't decide where to get some blue in around the cranks/pedal area, what do you reckon?0 -

Don't know why, it's not like you suggested the stem and bars or anyth..... wait a minute! :twisted:0 -
Right, well I made a start on the new hoses last night.
Sadly only managed to get the rear fitted though because like the ham fisted ape I am, I managed to snap one of the lever connectors. New one on order from CRC and should hopefully be here tomorrow so I can finish off.
Not the massive aesthetic improvement I was hoping for. The blue bits are almost un-noticable. Still, it'll be an improvement over the stock Avid hoses which seem to be made from swiss cheese.
Tonight I SHOULD be fitting my new rotors, chainring bolts and jockey wheels.

its looking really nice now
hopefully will be placeing my order from the frame in the next couple of days cant wait to build it up0 -
That is one of the nicest bikes I've seen on here for a while. That stem is absolutely stunning.0

Looking V nice mate. Weather looks a fair bit better up there too!0
-
Weather is cracking over here this week mate. Was a bit windy at the start of the week, but it's bIoody lovely now.0
-
Rain was mental here yesterday and last night, had a small river running down the road!
I've had to use my BFe frame again, think my mmmbop is setting my sciatica off, slightly too small for me0 -
Is it the size, or do you think it's because it's quite a firm ride?
Either way, it's a shame
Still, you could always wait a month or so and cash in if needs be0 -
Think it's a bit of both, i feel a bit perched on it, not a great deal more so than the BFe, but probably a bit too cramped for my condition. It's a real shame, but your right about holding off selling it0

One of your spacers is upside down! get it sorted!
Thats lush though! Stem is awesome!0 -

Back in your cage ape!
I'll go sort it now, just for you.
I'm not very happy at the moment. Went to take the rotors off to fit the new ones. The rear one came off ok, but the front one rounded 2 bolt heads and is now stuck. I knew it was a mistake buying those MOWA alloy rotor bolts, but I was seduced by the fact they were orange.
I now need to figure out how to get the damned things out without stripping the threads :evil:0 -

Yeh, I think I'm going to have to go get a little 2mm bit tomorrow and give it a go. Never had to drill out a bolt before so hopefully I can do it without ruining anything.
As it happens, these were not a result of my ham fisted-ness, but a result of the bolts being made from a material with a density similar to corned beef. Bastardo!0
