So, who thinks Sastre caan do it? And who would haave guessed he'd have a real chance to get back in this race at almost 10 min down?!

I think their group is big enough and the ground wet enough that they can stay 10 min ahead of the maglia rosa group and get Sastre back in the race!!

Liquigas will have 2 guys in the new top 10, and they can climb a bit.

So Nibs and Ivan can follow people shrugging as they refuse to work.

As for the break earlier, the race split as group tried to go off the front. Everyone wanted to be in the escape group and the pace was exceptionally high. The race split into several groups at one point, the whole bunch was lined out at one point.

    Sastre having a dig?

Sastre can smell it. Smart move, now's the time to use extra effort. Every ounce of effort translates into seconds on GC!

Cataldo is a local lad. But his lead is small. The roads are very slick.

And that's a nasty little ramp to finish with.

    Yvgeni Petrov (Katusha) wins it.

Hmm, I just can't get excited when a Katusha rider wins, there's a bad smell in the air.

    But what a stage.

Now the clock is ticking for the GC contenders.

    Wiggins came in 4th.

Now the wait for the 'GC' crowd to arrive and see how big the gap is.

Ohh, Wiggins and Sastre gave it some there. Nice to see they didn't just roll in.

Wiggins fourth apparently. But that comes from the same commentators that got the winner wrong...

I hope so! I LOVE the Giro (my favorite race in cycling) and I LIKE the Tour of Cali, but I am pissed they decided to try and steal riders/press from the giro. of course, you all know why, right? The toour of Cali is partnered (financially) with ASO, which owns the TDF. (Also ASO handles the TOC's promotion, marketing, etc) So it's in ASO's benefit to hurt the Giro.
