Blue SPD-SL cleats from Shimano. I don't like the skatey feeling of the yellow cleats and didn't fancy the completely locked in, lack of float offered by the red. So have discovered blue ones.

Fancied a change from the Foxy, awesome as it is I just don't ride the terrain that warrants a bike with 160mm and a wheelbase longer than most DH bikes! Gone for something that (hopefully!) is a bit more agile and XC feeling, I did contemplate a short travel 29er, like a Transition Smuggler but rode the 2016 version of the below a few months back and loved it. In true style for me there's a bit of a wait on this one, but after the Genesis debacle I'm used to waiting for bikes these days!

Had a red version in work the other day. I'm ashamed to admit it but it was very nice. Comically short in the toptube for a medium though! Be interested to see how it rides though

Still in the box I must confess. It came just before we went on holiday and then when we got back it was straight into work and I've still got to build a shelf for it to sit on!

Due to recent unpleasantness I've ordered chamois cream to keep the my back end in tip top condition.
For my bike I've ordered a Cane Creek DB coil to make the back end more controlled.
To get me to the trails quicker I've booked my car in for another 70bhp to take it up to 380bhp which might make the back end a touch less controlled and make my back end a bit more tense.

Probably best to be generous with the chamois cream then...

Liking the sound of the coil shock.

A pair of WTB Asym rims and a load of spokes to fit them to the new hubs that just arrived. I've got a 50/50 chance of getting the front the right way round as the spokes work out the same length, the back could result in much head scratching.

Best not to think about it.
Actually, not that much. The wheel could go out of true, but it won't suddenly vapourise. Good luck.

I've just ordered a bottom bracket and self-extracting crank bolts so I can ride my bike for the first time in about 5 years. Surprised I could still get an Octalink BB given it was a dying technology even back in 2010.

I'm just impressed this is still going nearly 8 years after I started it. TBH, I haven't bought anything bike related for about 12 months - rebuilt the CX Commuter bike. That said, I have been browsing disk braked road bikes. I obviously need one as I don't have one...
