they have a small hole you are struggling to get your fat head through.

this has arrived. its very cool but i have a quick question ref fit.
It is comfortable once on with a nice close fit all round and my ears arent bent over or pressed in anywhere. there are no pressure points on my head when worn but my big fat (face) cheeks are pressed in a little bit (but not too much) i can talk and breath in it and i think everything is ok.
it is agony putting on and off though, it is a right squeeze to get all of my brains in and out of it, is this normal?
Worth trying the next size up? Then you can compare side by side and send one of them back.
Or if neither fits, you've just got one of those heads that's in between sizes and another make might hit the spot better."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
you make a good point however this is the biggest size already.
maybe a different shape would help so maybe a different helmet might be an idea. ill try it on again in a bit. my MX riding buddy said it looks ok and made the same comments V68 did.0 -

Wear it constantly for at least a month to ensure it beds in! Shouting 'have you seen my baseball' will also help the bedding in process.Loving life in rural SW France

£55.99 from CRC - some reviews suggest it comes with a BB as well which makes it even better value, but the listing says it doesn't so I've ordered one just in case and will just keep it as spare.Framebuilder

Nice, at least it has proper brakes. Cable or hydraulic? I've got a Parabox on my Kinesis, it's good but I would rather full hydraulic.0
-
Full hydraulic Shimano RS505 levers with R685 calipers I believe The entry level one uses the TRP HyRd cable/hydraulic calipers and new Tiagra and was a little bit cheaper, but prefered the stealth look and full 105 setup of the 20.
Not even seen one in the flesh yet, let alone ridden one, so a bit of a punt but initial reviews seem very favourable and the geometry is pretty close to the Equilibrium which I really liked, but the carbon frame and huge tyre clearance swung me towards this, can double as gravel/cross bike if I get bored on the road as well. Looking forward to it arriving, shame there's still a while to go!0 -

+potato, and a winter cycling jacket for £17. Very simillar to the one I got from lidl/aldi a while ago but winterised with fleece and more wind protection. Didn't see any of the £30 winter jackets to compare but if its anything like my old one it should work a treat.0 -

Having seen the Datum in the flesh, with a stunning set of skinwall tyres no less, I'm pretty set on it. It does everything I'm looking for and while the GT Grade is very nice, it just doesn't quite do it for me in the way the Genesis does. Framesets are supposedly available in December, so in theory at least that's an option, will do some digging on Monday.0 -

Hope H Bottom cup EC44 to take the tapered steerer, adds about a degreeish to the head angle but means I can use a tapered steerer.0 -

Been toying with the idea of getting a pair of these for months now.

Those are very nice!
After shredding my shins again and trying to carry on I caved an ordered some knee/shin pads. Fed up having to wash crap out of wounds after a ride.

Bionicon C.Guide V.02 in red to try and top my rear mech banging against the chain stay. Plus I'm old school and would ideally like a DCD but know I need to move on!
I know there are the newer ones but I like the red and these seem to get rave reviews.Daddy, Husband, Designer, Biker, Gamer, Geek

Some Alpinestars shorts reduced to £24 from £92 from Chain Reaction, a hydration backpack from Decathlon (very impressed with it - £13.99, can't justify the cost of a Camelbak), some Mucky Nutz mudguards and some cheap Muddyfox tights.0
