Not biking related, but just ordered a 50mm f1.8 lens for my camera..probably doesn't mean much to those who aren't into photography, but it means I can get some of those nice shots with a really small depth of field (everything is out of focus apart from the subject - in theory at least!).

I hate having more than 1 expensive hobby!!

Ordered nothing, zilch, nada, zip, nowt at all.
Getting a bit fed up with the "This is the next BEST thing, since the last BEST thing!" adverts. I may want it, but I don't need it.

The mags do the pushing, and we do the buying etc.

But, I may have to order a new gear hanger for a kids bike - mate at works son - but thats about it for ages, since at least Christmas.

good stuff, if you can get over the webboness of the way it looks, its brilliant for the outdoor type, and it means you dont have to risk trashing your own decent phone.

I have a Garmin eTrex Legend and I do like Garmin kit. The Navtalk is ideal as it saves me the bother of carrying my iPune in my backpack and who cares if it's 2G? All I need it for is a voice call & text

Those parts are for the Epic, and everything that comes off will upgrade/go for spares for the Stumpy.

The stumpy's standard other than x9 shifters 'cause I couldn't abide the x7's and the risers from the Epic 'cause the straights were too narrow.

Will probably swap the XT cranks on the Epic for XTR, and then fit the XT to the Stumpy in the near future, but 1 pimped bike is enough.

I upgraded my X-7s to X-9s (when the X-7s died) and am just about to get my new XT chainset fitted to mine... Spooky...

So, whilst the site suffered from the, and I quote "Annoying server bug" I trawled through 65 pages of the CRC Big Discount List
As a reward for my efforts I bought the following discounted items:

IXS Avid Code Disc Brake Pads

Ashima Disc Brake Pads - Avid Juicy Semi-Metal

    BETD Derailleur Hanger 146 Felt

    661 Strike [FF Helmet] Visor

Darn I'd just bought some Superstar pads too, but I am a little bit of a sucker for a bargain and those pads @ £10/set shouldn't go to waste in the long term

Garmin NAVtalk GPS/Phone is mint. Looks brand new.

Ordered MacBook Pro 13" today too :D
It now comes with a 2.4GHz processor, 4GB RAM and 250GB HDD, (I bumped the HDD up to 320GB for a whopping £41) whereas predecessor at the same price was 2.26/2GB/160GB HDD
