Not sure if I'm the only one who enjoys wasting time (probably better spent working) watching other peoples MTB vids on places like Youtube and Vimeo. But thought I'd start a thread to see if we can get a little collection of videos up on here.

There are some awesome videos posted on this site sometimes. So c'mon, share your epic rides, thrills and spills.

All of these vids (6) are shot at Coed Y Brenin using the £12 camera.

Some are better quality than others, I apologise in advance for the crappy music on some of them.

turnercraig I have to say, when I see vids like that, it does kind of make me wish we had some more man made trails round here.
We've just got the one. it's got a 1km blue route and a 5km red route. All very well constructed and designed, but a little.....tame.

Riding the natural stuff is all well and good. But sometimes, especially when it's knee deep in mud, it'd be nice to do some trail centre stuff.

Here's one of mine from the weekend. Nothing spectacular, also filmed on one of the £12 cams off ebay. Note the boardwalk section at about 0:55. This was put in by the IOM government because the MTB club asked them to. Simple as that. It's not a designated cycle route or anything, just used a lot by mountain bikers.

Ye I suppose I'm lucky to be close to a few trail centres, good riding all year round. There's a lot of natural stuff I want to have a go at this year though.

Looks like a good descent that, I like the boardwalk, I thought you was going to have an off at 1.10

Ran out of skill before I ran out of speed. Was quite impressed I managed to stay upright.

Should probably point out that track is actually part of the End2End. It's much more fun in September when it's dried out a bit though.

CWNT I remember that bit! I believe I was walking most of it at that point though I've still not decided if I'll be back this year. I want to, but I'm not sure yet.

I dont use the URL tags unless I'm posting something as a hyperlink.

You can just paste the url direct from the address bar. providing it's not got silly characters like facebook pages.

Too late now mate, it's all full. Capped at 1200 this year. They MIGHT release some more spaces from non-paying entrants but there is already a pretty big waiting list.

I'm away when it's on this year so I'll not be there either. Was looking into maybe doing Epic Blast in Ireland instead but not sure now.

I was going to film the descent from the top of Ballacobb down to St Johns but there are too many gates to stop for (or fly over) when the E2E is not on.

Just a comment on the picture quality of bigbenj_08 gisburn vids considering how bumpy them routes were and the fact it's a hardtail i'm definitely gonna be mounting my 12 quid camera like that much smoother than the handlebar mounted vids, plus won't kill your camera if you fall (as proven lol)

Well that makes it an easier decision to make to be honest I should really try and save some money though, so it's no biggy. I have a couple of other events lined up (Bikeradar Live being one of them 8) )

Have to admit, I've never looked on your blog before today :oops: Some good stuff on there actually.

I'd quite like one of them Go-Pro cams one day, quality is fantastic. I'll make do with me £13 effort for now though :P
