A few mins of my ride* at Cannock Chase at the weekend. It was just wedged into one of the vents in my helmet. the quality 'in the field' has turned out pretty good, I just need to aim it a bit lower.
*Soundtrack stolen from Seasons to make me seem gnarly and rad to the extreme

A selection of 'highlights' from a local ride, including jumping off the zip line 'ramp' in the park, and an armoured personnel carrier trundling through suburbia.
The camera was attached using a twofish lockblock to the fork crown, and it actually worked pretty well. Held the camera securely and stopped any real vibration in the image. I just need to find out what was making the buzzing noise and stop it!0 -

Video of me yesterday getting a corner VERY wrong at PORC.
Wheel dug into the soft sand on the switchbacks, throwing me over the bars into a soft landing of thorns.
Note how my so called 'mate' rushed to help me lol! [/code]"If I Was Falling, YOU BETTER FREAKING CATCH ME!!!"

Good quality video there. You need to get yourself another camera now so that you can get some front footage at the same time and have a nice little edit put together0 -

My mate has one now, so next time we're both out hopefully we'll get him following with the helmet mount and edit the two together.
I played with the rear facing shot before at Afan and it's great when somebody's chasing you0 -
my camera is a contour hd1080 and its mounted to the bikes frame using a goggle mount bolted to the frame.0

dvatc Do you have a pic of how you attached the camera? Would quite like to the same with my Contour0

Decided to join the Elite video club with some Regular South-East ride. Hope to get more advice on how to make vidz better. What could have been (Video)
I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though0 -
contour hd mounted on my whyte46.
using the goggle mount, which is bolted to the frame using 2 m4 cap heads.
the grey foam is there to stop the camera rattling around, doing the same job as the goggle strap does.
hope this helps.
heres sample

Cool thanks! Will give that a try this eve (sorry for the thread hijack guys)
To balance it out - here's my first try at using the Contour HD at the weekend, mounted on my crash helmet, so looks quite high up. I am of course going A LOT faster than it looks

I'm a bit late to this one but here's an old video from last October that I did. I'll be doing another one sometime.....they just take so damn long to do with all the editing and stuff. Kind of a pain. The end product turned out OK I guess.

How do you guys go about selecting music, when you soundtrack something? It strikes me I'm pretty unimaginative, I cut the video to rough length then sort my music collection into length order Today was I think the first time I've ever started out with one song in mind. I usually like what I end up with, but it's never going to be perfect is it?
(well, my snow video's music turned out pretty much spot on... But this one needed a 3 minute 30 second song, and lurking in the collection was an unnamed track from a mix cd my brother gave me, which turns out to be DANGER ZONE from Top Gun So just because it makes me laugh I have to use it, even though it's totally inappropriate.)Uncompromising extremist0 -
Mancunianfightingcat I'm very impressed with Lee Quarry every time I see a vid of it. It looks like it's EPIC fun!
Northwind I do much the same as you, cut the video to rough length then sort my music collection into length order then just pick something that works (sort of).0
