Sweet as ta :D...been out for a walk today and found some nice bridlepaths, so I've now got a nice loop to try out around Ribchester :D..calling in at the pub in Hurst Green.

  • Sorry to come in so late but what's all this about a ride in Llangdela. Been back about 5 pages and can't be arsed looking back any more. As I'm totaly unfit, thought this might be just the thing for me.
You know you've been working on the bike too long when it falls over and you don't care!

April 10th Llandegla, 9:00 if you want brekkie, 9:30 if you don't then some are doing red, then black later on I think, I'm just doing the red then playing on the skills area.
It'll be just the ticket if you are a bit unfit coz we don't ride fast and ALWAYS wait for the slowest one ie: me

It is what it says on the tin mate, a ride at Llandegla on Saturday 10th April for unfit people. Meeting at 9 for those who want to do breakfast first breakfast or 9.30 for a 10am start. Judging by our last outing there are people of differing fitness and skill levels so there will be people doing Red route and some doing Black. Personally I'm hoping to have a go at the Red, have a play in the Skills section and then ride the Red again.

After my ride yesterday, which was a sponsored event for the British Heart Foundation, I need to enter another event to motivate me to keep getting out on the bike.

I would like to extend an invitation to all members of the 'Slow Rides' group to join me for another BHF event, the Dark Peak Challenge ride on Sunday 9th October 2010.

I did this ride a couple of years ago, before they moved the location to Edale and created a selection of routes. The event I rode was 42 miles and is the single hardest thing I have ever attempted on 2 wheels.

The new format has 14, 23, 34 and 40 mile options. There is a £15 fee to enter and they ask for a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. I would like to aim for the 23 mile option.

I will be contacting the BHF events team for details of the routes.

    Anyone interested...?

EDIT: 9th October is a SATURDAY

@Cheshley. I may be available that weekend in October to have a bash at that ride and should be able to talk a mate or two into doing it. Is it on the Saturday or the Sunday ? I know you have put Sunday the 9th in your post but the 9th is the Saturday.
