tis easy, just roll down the end, it rolls straight into a small climg which kills your speed

though we were watching a group jump to flat of the top

I'm just downloading a vid I did of the blue berms at Gisburn, shame I caught the mode button on the cam so it's not come out as good quality as I'd like

I take it that when there is no tension on the cable it sits at yer largest cog ?

Sorry to pick yer brain bud but when you change up to yer largest cog can you do it in rapid succession ?

It's just that am trying to get some feedback on mechs before i go and order a new one.

    That to ^^

Caught up with this bit of the thread a few days late, after a few PM's from Cheshley. If the 2 of you wanted to do an intermediate at Dalby, you could either wait for the guys to do the beginners course & then join them whenever they book the int, or you could book a date that suits you. I only need 3 as a minimum to run a group course, or a 1:2 price is also based on this. If it's not short notice though, chances are someone else will book anyway to make the minimum. Drop me a PM if you're both interested. Most people who want to learn drops & jumps get there in a day, believe it or not. You'll learn plenty more than that in a day as well.

Dalby's a great place for courses as there's plenty to learn on that doesn't end in disaster if you don't get the technique right.

To clarify, my intention is to do the beginner's course and then (assuming I can MTFU by then), do the intermediate course later in the Summer so if you more experienced (and confident) guys can hang on till then I'd be happy to make it a group thing.

You'll feel like you've got braver at the end of a course! But it'll be more that you know you can handle the trails. Which is a good thing. Bravery without the skill is not such a good thing!
