How much are you guys paying doe GO electrolyte powder? I use Nuun isotonic tablets, lemon n lime flavour usually, and they have been great, good taste and NO salty after taste Caz. £5 or less for a tube of 12 tablets making 6 litres if you use the recommended quantity but I usually water it down more with no problems.

    Chesley,
I've tried Nuun tablets before, the Kona Cola ones and they were hanging!
I think I paid about £1,20 for a sachet of the Go, as I wanted to see if the old digestion liked it before I got a tub of it, so far so good, all is calm in the guts :D

I love Nuun too, some cracking flavours and it go's down a treat. Plus im diabetic so all the sugar in that GO stuff isnt good for me :D

Just tried High 5 Zero electrolyte too, 20 tablets in a pack so it works out a little cheaper than Nuun but is just as tasty.

I have a 2.4 Conti Mountain King i can bring to Cannock next friday Roo, It comes up Narrower than the 2.4 Nobby Nic.
Might at least give you an idea of the continental sizes and rule out the 2.4's.

I'm running the 2.4 MK's, just the basic version. The reviews on CRC say they p*nct*re easily but although the tyre walls are ridiculously thin I've not had a flat yet and even with me sitting on them I only have them at mid 30's PSI. One thing they're not tho is a mud tyre, on the Peak District ride they were clogging up and sliding all over the place, but other than that I've got no complaints at all with them. :D

I've heard similar things mate. If you're going to spend the day at Dalby I'd have a go at the full Red.

i liked the look of the rubber queen tread, it looks like theres no gap between the centre knobbies and the outer ones, so you can lean the bike slightly without it slipping

yeah i now wish that i'd done the dalby dare :(

I've read somewhere on here that one guy turned up and signed up on the day with no bike and helmet :o he managed to get a bike from somewhere in the village on some type of demo i think, same with the helmet and then rode round in normal clothes.

I had all my gear in back of the car, Bike, helmet etc

I'll tell you next time It's there count me in.

Oh and the vids i've watched are these

Have you guys seen the posts on Facebook saying that a group of companies have got together and provided funding so that the UCI Word Cup races will now be FREE on Freecaster?

yes i watched some of it today
though i find the cross country a tad boring to watch, i like to see the first lap or so around the course to see what they have to tackle and how they do it
i much prefer to watch the downhill, much better and with rob warner commentating a good laugh

yeah well i might try and catch the fort william one next month as i've seen the course from the ski lift when i've been winter climbing behind the ski range there. Course looks scarey even from a height.
