    We've all been there...

    Think about all the times you've been to the loo and whats left afterwards just won't go away no matter how many times you flush or smother it in toilet paper...

    mrfmilo, it has 20 splines, but how do i see if it's square taper or not?
    the charge spoon and superstar pads have arrived. I've fitted the spoon and it's really comfy- i'll post pics tomorow. I got a 4 pack of superstar organic pads too, and they came with haribo! only a tiny pack of 'starmix' but still, it's nice to get these things FOC.

    Your cranks+BB are probably square taper. It's best if you can take the left side crank off, but just look at the BB Spindle, and see if if is square, or splined.

    I always feel proud of myself when that happens.

    @James

    Not all bottom brackets fit flush to the frame, its not uncommon to have a 1mm - 2mm of thread showing. It might be worth getting it checked out but the chances are its already tight.

    Just keep an eye on it, from the sounds of things you need to be saving.

    Funny thread this, it got me thinking about my first girlfriend (she was hot!), paper round etc...........It should be retitled the joys and pains of being a teenager. :wink:

    yes- and i know the pains well- i stacked today :( :oops: and sort of cracked my helmet, but at least i can get a new one now- giro hex?
    it was on a smallish gap jump - about a 3ft gap, and the kicker was just over 2ft off the ground, the landing just under 3ft off the ground, and because there's a corner just before the take off, i didn't hit it straight on, then the wheels landed at an angle, then the bars twisted round ans i stacked :oops: then i was just lying there and there was really really loud buzzing sound, but it gradually faded away, and it turned out it was just the motorway (the jumps are right next to the A3) but it sounded really loud after i banged my head for some reason, and i had banged my hip, elbow and my head, and now my helmet's dented and cracked, but luckily my head isn't - so wear a helmet boys and girls!

    mrfmilo- i'll see if i can find an allen key that fits it, but i don't know if we have one, as it's quite big.

    got my helmet yesterday- and it's really good, a bit uncomfortable at first, but it just needed to bed in a bit and soften up and the charge spoon is really good too. i did some good local riding and rode a jump we had built, and it was dry, sunny and dusty so it was really good, and luckily my injuries from my crash the other day are mostly better, so didn't slow me down too much. doing the jump i realised more that my frame is too big for me, as it's an 18 inch and i'm only 5 ft 2. here are some videos of our jump, but you can only se them if you have facebook:

    I think a new thread is needed here, as nothing is related to this bike anymore.... :lol:

    Maybe the crudcatcher boys? :roll:

    Unless you get some new fluid in the brake lines, becuase of course that's valid!! :lol:

    Oh and I recommend rubber tyres as they make you skid better.

    well here's the video: <object width='500' height='375'><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true' /><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always' /><param name='movie' value='http://www.pinkbike.com/v/132328/l/' /><embed src='http://www.pinkbike.com/v/132328/l/' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' width='500' height='375' allowFullScreen='true' allowScriptAccess='always'></embed></object>
    i'm the one in a green hoodie. i crashed a few times on this, because i kept coming off my pedals mid-flight, so i'll get wellgo b-54's when they come into stock at crc. and then slx double and bash cranks when my current chainrings wear out, as they aren't replaceable, and that's my plan for the rest of this bike!
