I have this one, it's superb, though a fairly narrow airflow unless you can move it further away - I use mine as a face/upperbody fan.kingstongraham said:Remote control powerful turbo fan with £20 off and code Trainerroad10 to take it down to £72.

Only used the lowest of the three settings for tonight's turbo ride, but that was plenty strong.2 -

It is identical bar the remote. The Cardio was introduced because the Vacmaster was being used by Zwifters, so they made it in a less industrial colour and added a remote, both made by Cleva.pblakeney said:

I have a Vacmaster controlled by a smart plug, splits the difference between the two.
Superb device - feels much more like the wind you get riding outside than a regular fan.0 -
I consciously decided to pay the extra £12 to get the remote - definitely worth it. Other than that, it is exactly the same thing.1

I have a conventional floor fan (18") on a smart switch, so I just have to look at the intensity of the workout combined with the temperature in the garage and decide which speed of the 3 I will set it to prior to starting.
I have searched high and low, and there is a wonderful Sealey fan available in the US that has a full remote, but absolutely nothing over here sadly, or in Europe that I could find.
I did e-mail Sealey and say there would be a massive market for it amongst turbo trainer users, but evidently they have not changed anything based on that, it would have been about £80.
**Tell a lie, a search just now has turned this one up, same place is selling it for £120 on ebay, looks very well specced (6 (SIX) speeds too!):
https://1-hydroponics.co.uk/fans-and-filters/circulation-fans/tornado-dc-18-floor-fan.html
Should my sealey ever die, I will replace it with one of those.
My previous sealey pedestal fan died sadly, after many years of service, and that was when the Cleva fan came in.
On my floor fan I use 1 for recovery rides, 2 for tempo/sweet spot/threshold, and 3 for anything higher.
In the heat of summer of course, 3 may be required for pretty much anything.
That fan cools my legs predominantly.
I have a little honeywell fan on the desk in front of me within reach, £18 off of Amazon warehouse, it's ok, but only used in the lightest of workouts, and the coldest conditions.
Then I have the cleva fan on the floor pointing up at my face.
At this time of year I start with all fans off, and then bring the floor fan in first, followed by the cleva fan on level 1.
The massive bonus with the remote is that if I'm on a 2 minute interval at say 110%, I can get through the first minute with it on level 1, and then reward myself with level 2 cooling after that minute - helps me get through the interval that way.
Then maybe a further 6 intervals along, I'll swap that out to 2 & 3 instead.
It's a bit like a manual version of what the headwind provides, where I think you can have it adjust the airflow based on your heart rate.
Handy to be able to turn it off or down inbetween the intervals too.
@kingstongraham - it's your fault that I am currently thinking seriously about ordering that remote floor fan above - I'm going to mull it over, over the weekend, but I can see a lot of upsides.
Amazingly my Sealey floor fan is nearly 6 years old which is crazy.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

It's ironic that there's a damn good 50mm disc wheelset deal on at Sigma (~£360) when right now I have no idea if I'm going to regain the power and stamina I had before catching Covid eight weeks ago.
Anyone bought, or know someone who has bought https://www.sigmasports.com/item/Vel/50-RL-Carbon-Tubeless-Disc-Wheelset/QS28?id=1249426 ?
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/prime-rd-56-carbon-disc-wheelset-2022/rp-prod208249 are a bit deeper at 56mm, but £479
Merlin have their own 50mm wheelsets at £499/525 (no BF price), but for 35mm https://www.merlincycles.com/vision-team-35-disc-clincher-road-wheelset-179495.html isn't bad for £175.
Not sure if Merlin have banned use of loyalty reward scheme for BF sale.================

I got the last of the black logo Roval Rapide CLX II's for £1575 with this code. That's nearly £1000 less than the best price I'd seen for them up to this point, and given the current value of the pound it's really not far off of what I'd expect to pay for Farsports, LB, etc. with DT240 hubs by the time import and shipping fees are included.N0bodyOfTheGoat said:BF10PHKQ5YY code at Sigma Sports, use for one basket.
Now I just have to decide whether I can actually afford them or if I'm sending them back

Anyone else thinking where are the Black Friday complete bike bargains?
Then I just found some semi decent ones on the Halfords site, https://www.halfords.com/bikes/folding-bikes/carrera-intercity-disc-9-speed-folding-bike-536878.html
It's had good reviews all year at £450 for a hydraulic brake foldier, but down to £405 now before you use your 10% British Cycling discount to bring it down to £364.50!
