Why have base layers double in price?

Have you tried Merlin - they at least had some at reasonable prices in recent times.
I paid £12 for dhb short sleeved they are now £22 for the same thing ???
They are currently ~£3 each more expensive than pre-Covid/Brexit, but the PlanetX range work for me, especially on the turbo. £8/10/13 for sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve respectively.
No they look reasonably priced what’s the sizing like, I’m a medium in every other brand
The small-med still fits at ~40" chest, I was ~37" chest when I bought the first of them a few years back... I've gained ~8Kg since March '20 through Covid and several other health setbacks.

Probably more for the other threads but I've had some kit lying in Stansted customs for 1-1/2 weeks and still pending. Buying ain't what it used to be. 🤬
    ffs - where from?

Pactimo. I assumed from the States so expected some delay, but here is the history.
Dispatched within 30 hours of ordering. 3 days from China to Stansted including stops in Germany and France. 10 days sitting in Stansted.
No anticipated delivery date. Was originally for the 14th, 9 days total. Fedex.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I thought the Pactimo stuff came from Northern Ireland? I think everything I've ordered from them has.

Yep MR B is right, it all used to come from NI, looks like they have shelved that setup then. I think it used to be really small anyway, one bloke in a bikeshop, and one woman who sent stuff out and handled returns. She was sick when I sent mine back, so I got no answer for more than a week :D

This was some time ago - maybe 6 years or more.

Cheap, or heavily reduced Time shoes at the ever reliable Merlin currently available in virtually all popular sizes - no idea if they are any good or not, though none have yellow on them, so maybe not - £100 & £135:

This one for £170 is only available in 2 sizes, but if you happen to be a fan of osmosis, then they could be the shoes for you:

Cheap bib shorts at planet x. Down to £15.

I'm not a great fan of these but others seem to like them and could be good cheap option for turbo shorts.

Pad is decent, but back material isn't very breathable and my pair (L) size up bigger that the PX chart suggests around the waist.

CLOTHING30 gives you seemingly 30% off everything on the Giro site, cycling or winter gear, even sale stuff.

    https://giro.co.uk

Not a fan of their socks, and their helmets don't fit my bonce, but I really rate their gloves, so am going to order a couple as stock pairs.

In theory 11.1% back through TCB as well, though the use of a voucher will probably mean that doesn't count. Gonna chance my arm though.

EDIT: My cashback has tracked, sometimes they still pay out even when it says using a voucher will void it.

If you are looking for good mitts, I can highly recommend these two variants:

Bargain top end shoes, no personal experience, but reviews are in the main pretty reasonable, and that was at the full RRP.

    £250 - down to £110.
2 colour options, and currently most common sizes in stock.

    https://cyclestore.co.uk/pearl_izumi_p_r_o_leader_v4_road_shoes-ID_74764

Much as I like the lime and black, the silver logo puts me off, so I'm actually favouring the all black stealth version.

    Soles are proper bling too!

Cyclestore have 1.48% cashback through TCB too currently, and as an aside noticed that CRC have gone up from their usual 1% to nearer 3.

Great shout with the shoes, I’m after a new pair.

Anyone got any real world sizing archive with Pearl Izumi shoes?

They say size up 1 full size but I usually find to take that with a pinch of salt. I’m usually an EU42 in cycling shoes.

    Anyone confirm?

All I found was this from a road.cc review:

"Pearl Izumi has altered its sizing to be more in line with that of other major brands. I usually take a size 46 but for the P.R.O. Leader version three I sized up to a 47. With v4 I'm back to my usual 46 and the fit feels right."

I'm a UK 10, and used to mostly wear 45s, but either my feet have shrunk of the brands I wear now (Scott, Mavic, Fizik) are slightly more spacious, so I tend to wear 44s most of the time now .
The Suplest shoes I just ordered allegedly come up small, so I have chanced my arm with 44.5s - not confident on that one I have to be honest.

If I were to order a pair of these, I suspect I would go for a 44.

Which colour are you going for?

    These look quite nice too:

    Cheers for that.

Think I would go for the more colourful pair. Not really into all black shoes.

Had some Northwave in the past but didn’t find them very comfy. Good price though.

Not really a bargain, but Isadore have 25-30% off a lot of their kit currently, postage is £10 for orders under £150 (Over is free), and then the likelihood is sadly you'll get hit for import duty + an admin fee, so tons of cash.

It's fanastic kit if you have the chance to try it, frustratingly Wiggle don't appear to be replenishing their Isadore stock, as they used to have some heavily reduced kit, I managed to bag one of the climbers merino jerseys last year, which I think sell for £140, and this one was £40!
It's a superb fit and cut, and is one of those magic jerseys that can hande a pretty wide range of temperatures, seemingly keeping you cool in hot conditions, but also maintaining body heat when it's a bit chilly.

I read more than one review on the signature jerseys that said the collar was way too high, but chanced my arm anyway, but the reviews were spot on, which was a shame, as the rest of it was really nice.

I happened to watch a uk youtube video (forget the name now, but the chap (Bike and shoe fitter I think) loves Lake, and he was suggesting that the Spesh shoes are the only shoe that he is aware of, that are not setup out of the box to be neutral, and that the soles are angled meaning the outside of each foot is closer to the ground than the inside - is that makes sense.

I don't know if it is true, but didn't see an obvious reason he would lie about it.
He also said this condition, or requirement was only found in a small percentage of people.

*Not seen that site before, look to have some decent kit.
That Torch shoe is also available in a much betetr colour too :-)

Never heard that. I switched to specialized shoes a while back and love them.

I've been buying from Certini more and more recently as they seem to have stock other shops don't, prices are always competitive and they are just a really good shop to deal with. Unfortunately they don't send free haribo though.

Heard him say that about Spesh shoes before.
