Rapha sale, glasses are 50% off [50 quid]

Iirc their rrp used to be way more than £100?

Tried a pair a while back, but they are not designed for smaller faces, just too wide.

Yeah, they were going regularly on ebay at £85 when they were £140 on Rapah. Zeiss lenses so definitely worth a punt at £50!

Would you have considered £55 and free delivery worth a punt?

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I may have done  A lot of company’s offer free delivery and free delivery over 20 quid etc. I don’t know why it’s a big deal to me perhaps I think that a top end online shop should offer free delivery or free delivery at a lower price. They do deals with the delivery companies and pay a lot less than the £5 to send the glasses and this annoys me even if it is a small amount...

Have never done that. No such thing as free delivery its factored into the price when you buy items. When people buy items with the intention of sending items back then that cost has to be passed back to everyone. Maybe been honest in the world today makes me a muppet. Nice username btw does that mean you are a { }. Fill in the space yourself.

Difference is that £55 with free delivery, if you dont like them and send back you get £55 refunded.

£50 + £5 delivery you only get £50 refunded if you dont like them.

They're very good. Very light, cant feel them. Only issue with the pink ones are that you can occasionally see the nose bomb in your peripheral vision.

Yep, joined the Rapha glasses club and ordered the Carbon/Black pair. Also ordered some Pro Team socks in yellow and some Commuter Shorts.

Ok, are they the best glasses I've owned? Better than Sungod ones? Not sure on that. At least as good.

But one of the killer good things about them is that the top bit stays off my head and never smudges.

They are well worth the money, well worth it.

There is a 10% off sale price voucher on the Sigma Sports website (10SAVE). So if you're a Castelli Small or Medium you can pick up a Gabba 3 in Blue for £62.

There are other good things in their sale that stack well, but nothing that good in my size.

My Rapha glasses turned up yesterday. Not ridden in them yet but agree the nose pad is rather omnipresent in your peripheral vision (mine's white, black might be less obtrusive).

Otherwise quality looks great for £45, though couldn't help thinking when trying them on in the mirror with a cycling helmet that the horizontal Rapha "logo lines" across the middle of the lens over the nose bridge, make you look a bit like a "mk1 toaster" Cylon from Battlestar Gallactica! Not necessarily a bad thing....

Got the black Rapha glasses and cant get on with them. My nose isnt perfectly straight and some glasses this is OK with, others not, some glasses you can bend the nose piece to shape and all is OK. With these you cant adjust the nose pieces and they sit at an angle on my face - the design really seems to show and make them look more wonky than they actually are.

So not going to keep them.

Shame because I really like them if they would sit straight on me.

Just asking here before I send them back if anyone wants them? I notice the black is out of stock now so someone can have them for the same price I paid if you want. I wont send them back until monday anyway so shout if interested.

I know there are risks with buying an ex-team road bike, but if extra small was my size I'd buy this for £1400 just for the sheer value - https://www.merlincycles.com/ridley-fenix-classic-ex-team-road-bike-116232.html

First ride in the Rapha glasses this morning. They are great. The nose piece is undeniably visible, but most of the time don't notice, especially when concentrating on avoiding potholes and other road hazards...

The "Battlestar Galactica Cylon" looks are accentuated when paired with a Spesh Evade helmet (or in my case, a cheap Carnac copy from PX)

Sounds like not everyone gets on with them, but if they do fit they may be one of the deals of the year....
