I needed some thermal bibshorts to match the Gabba I got from Sigma... if you use the code EXTRA10 you can get a pair of Castelli Omloops for £62.50

    https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/s?q ... at=product

If you can be bothered to create a new e-mail address / account you can also get a further £10 off by adding the code NCV2019 and they also give 3.5% Topcashback (so around £50 assuming TCB pays).

Castelli Transparente 4 LS jersey - Merlin and Tredz have it on offer, both for £75 in limited sizes, small and medium I think.

Tredz often have their £5 discount code as well, so £150 down to £70.

Was sorely tempted, but decided not to get one.

Great price, shame I'm waiting for a good deal on a 34/50 version to go with my 11-34 cassette still sitting in the spares box, to give me more climbing gears and a slightly easier bail out gear... Sadly I'm a sucker for more extreme inclines, my current mission* is to get out to Milland Hill and tackle its ~25% section towards the summit.

36/52 with 11-34 gives 28.6-127.6 gear inches, compared to 34/50 with 11-32 (what I have now on Cube) being a range of 28.7-122.7.

    * Once I have a new, working gear cable installed, old one snapped on Tuesday and so I've used the "High" rear derailleur limit screw to give me the 16T sprocket (because sadly it won't screw in enough to give me 18T) with either chainring!

Will Wiggle definitely price match this though? They seem to state in their terms that competitor item must be in stock and available- Winstanley’s 530 is available for pre-order!?

I’ve got them to price match Winstanley with no problem, but the terms are that no other promotions apply, so I can’t see how to add the £10 voucher (and where does the £10 voucher originate?).

And another thing I’ve noticed: if I buy it through my Safari browser the full price is £359.99, but through my Chrome browser it’s £349.99. What’s that all about?

I believe the £10 voucher is for NEW customers (£10 off £50 spend) - I too have managed to get Wiggle to match the price (today), now just need to justify the spend!

WHAT a deal, stunning, as is the bike, and discs to boot 8)

In theory this has some for 2k, but Rutland through tcb comes close, unless they'll match?

    It's stupidly comfy L2R, more so than a CR1.

The cables do look a bit out of place on a modern aero bike.

...and you know I like my comfort  That is really very tempting indeed. Mind you, after riding my hire bike today, i may well be in tbe market for a new 2019 model Orbea Orca. I know (most) of the roads over in Mallorca are nice and smooth, but I was struck at how well it does everything my Solace disc (i.e. comfort and pace over the various broken surfaces I managed to find) and my CR1 SL (speed and climbing) both deliver. And I think it looks good too.

Thought my next bike was to be a proper gravel grinder, but then again, always fancied a bit of aero.

DB: would the Foil disc easily cover all my road bike wants and needs? I may need to reduce the stable to justify it...

L2R, in my humble opinion, and much as it pains me to say it (as long as you get on with the fit) it's an amazingly capable bike, flatters the rider, and does everything, imho, really well.

Mine came as standard with 25's, but I suspect you could fit 28's, so I can run my rear tyre at lower pressure than the CR1.

It's light, climbs well, comfy (for me), and is a real joy to ride, not that I can do it justice, but it makes the ride that bit more special.

I think the 20 will be hmf carbon as opposed to hmx, though I wonder whether any of us would notice the difference in a blind test.

If I hadn't bought mine last year, I'd almost certainly be buying this now.

EDIT: Being hmf and disc, it is getting in for a kg more than a rim braked, dura ace hmx, but I dare say you could pair that down with a prudent wheelset choice.

Is it one of Mallorca Bike Hire's?

Yes, it was, plus I upgraded the wheels to a pair of 40mm Cosmic SL's, which made for a great combination.
I think they move their ex-hire fleet on through Langsett Cycles though nothing showing on their website currently.

Cycle Republic got them on sale though: https://www.cyclerepublic.com/orbea-orc ... -2019.html
