For £570 I thought it was finally worth a punt.
Alas, not included in the offer. There's probably not enough profit in them.

That would be a lot less than second hand price.
Brompton need customisation, the M bars are cack and you don't need the 3 speed that Evans typically sell, for London you want the single speed.
S1L for everyday use or S1E if you only use it when it's dry

If they will let you use BC discount on top, makes a £1k bike £765.

Tried to buy a Brompton. Discount not accepted

It's 15% off accessories, not bikes

    Wrong.
    It's on adult bikes.
Worked on a boardman, not on a Brompton.
Brompton don't allow their bikes to be discounted according my friend that works in a bike shop. Means their sell on price is pretty high

Planet X have these https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYSCONE/schwalbe-one-performance-700c-folding-tyre for £17.99 each currently. Are they worth a go to replace the aging Giant stock tyres on my 2012 Defy?

Came here to post the Planet X Schwalbe One thing, but beaten to it. Whilst I’m here though...

That’s illegal. Vendors are free to price how they wish; suppliers can only state a recommended retail price but can not impose pricing nor implement punitive or unfavourable conditions to bring a retailer in line.

Brompton prices are high because that’s what people will pay for them.

Pretty good tyre by all accounts, won’t find much better for £18 each.

I tried it without success. Also SUN50 for £50 off £750 spend (CycleRepublic). Neither work.

I'm shortly looking to buy a Boardman TTE at CycleRepublic.
I have the BC 10% discount, which is great.
The 15% additional discount (which I had expected to work equally at Halfords and CR) would have been fab. Never mind.

Just worth noting these are Performance line not Evo line, so they are the budget version. It's still a good price, best I can find at the moment, but not that great. I got a set for £17.50 each at Merlin a year or so ago. I found them OK but if you get them thinking you're getting top end race tyres you'll be disappointed. Basically they are the equal of Conti GT or Vittoria Rubino rather than the Evo's or Pro Ones, which are supposedly the equal of GP4000s or Corsas.

Thanks, there's no way I'm ever going to be racing so may well take a punt. Only reservation is whether the 25s will work as a replacement for the current 23s

Halfords have price matched other online stores on the Tacx Neo 2 Turbo Trainer at £1006.

They now have an offer for 15% off all cycling accessories and that brings the price down to £855.10.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Work and family commitments meant I only got round to collecting it yesterday. No problem using the BC discount (apart from so long since I used it that I didn’t know you had to get a code from the BC website  )

Chuffed to get it for £769 and had a quick play last night. Noisier than I thought but all due to my drivetrain. Been caught a few times in the last couple of weeks in some heavy downpours so think I need to do some cleaning and fettling

    Chpt3 1.16 shorts for £60 with the progetto x2 pad I love.
I hasten to add, not because of the 'brand' (only became aware of their existance and Castelli link due to another thread in the last few days, and I am not a Millar 'fan' with regards to his past, other than liking his race commentary) but purely down to that awesome pad, had Castelli equivalents been available for the same or less, I would have gone for them.

Have the knee length thermal omloops and the sorpasso tights, both of which I managed to buy for £50-£60 each, but never had any standard shorts with the x2 pad.

Was looking at the endurance shorts, but then stumbled on these down from £120.

Only belatedly realised they come in a gray finish I think, which I quite like.
Dislike the red bits up top, but happily hidden from view.
I also can't see any branding on the pictures at all, which is something else I would approve of if that is the case.

If you scroll doon the product page there is a sizing comparison, iirc 30 = Small, 31 = Medium etc.
Why they just couldn't size them the same way is some misdirected attempt at style I guess......

Good spot; thanks! 32 (pre-)ordered, and just smaller sizes left now.

Thinking of Castelli sizing, there were some v. cheap* POC jerseys in TackyMacs’ on-line cycle clothing selection yesterday morning, but went before I could post - may be worth checking again over the next few days in case more are listed.

*The £145 AVIP ceramic jersey was £28.
