What more do you actually need? It shows a map. It tells you when to turn.

I bought an Altura Nevis jacket from them sevral years ago for £20. You're buying from the UK distributor selling off slight seconds, when I bought my jacket they were calling themsleves platinum cycling.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

well - my 820 arrived yesterday - played around last night, paired the sensors on my commute bike and HRM - rode in this morning - saved the ride - it synced, then promptly told me I needed 29hours recovery period ... !! ok - I'll just let my boss know that I'll be dozing in the corner today ... and some of tomorrow too ... ;)

That recovery check is fun. I've never managed to get it to say anything but 'Recovery: Good' on the next ride, even when I've been absolutely broken.

Actually, I tell a lie, it was amber when I had my first ride back after Christmas, a day on which I was fully recovered, just considerably less fit than I was!

Bike radar forum clock never changes - it sits on GMT the whole year.

I guess the publishers don't value the platform particularly highly so it gets very little staff time.

It doesn't. It is UTC, which can differ from GMT by as much as, gosh, 0.9 s.

Laura Kenny gets 84 hours recovery time from her Garmin

The recovery time can be turned off so that it doesn't show after a ride.

Ta. I needed another workstand and like these one with the lever handle to hold the bike rather than ones you've got to spin a knob on as it makes is much quicker if you are always working on the same bike.

And hopefully the knurling on this one will be better than the one I bought a few years ago, which had no knurling around the holding joint so the bike would slowly spin...

Back to the 820 discussion. Saved the ride as I got to work this morning, took the garmin off and chucked it in my helmet that i'd put on the floor whilst i locked the bike up, but didn't turn it off.

Next thing i know its making loud noises and it 5 seconds away from notifying my 38 week pregnant wife that i'd been in an accident!

I really wasn't aware of that feature.

Quite a useful one, although not when it's not needed. Be aware that getting a puncture and stopping to have a look can also result in activation of the feature; not great when you've just started taking the chain & wheel off holding the frame off the ground.

Anyone gearing up for a spot of light bike touring or bike packing might want to look at Planet X this weekend....
Amongst the better deals I spotted was this 48g Ti stove, down to only £9.99!
    https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CPFMFMS11 ... -gas-stove
Looks identical to the Optimus one I bought last year for quite a bit more, apart from the colour. PX also look to do a cheap ti mug, but 600ml rather than the normal 650ml so can't tell if a small gas canister would easily nest inside like a 650ml mug...if it does that's a very lightweight minimalist cooking set up on the cheap. PX also do a foldable ti spork for £2.99
Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...
