Sport pursuit have Elite Diretos for £540.

If I was in the market for a smart trainer I'd probably still stump up the difference for a Neo 1 with the price they are at the moment, but that's a useful £300 cheaper for a still very competent machine. Got to be worth the extra over a Flux or a Kickr Snap at that price.

Halfords have the Drivo for £650. Take away the BC discount and thats £585. Absolute bargain.

You've the same 14 days following receipt in which to inform them you wish to cancel the contract / return the goods as for any other non-sale online purchase of goods.

I've just ordered something from that Pactimo sale page, and if don't fit it'll certainly be going back

They're not too great at following their own timelines with regard to refunds anyway. I had to chase them for a weeks for a refund before. They only started to get moving once I opened a paypal case...

I went for the Sportive Ultegra in XL, but also considered the SL 105. If my order gets cancelled i'm going to be pretty peeved!

I got an email at 17.10 today to say my order for a Sportive Ultegra in XL has been cancelled due to lack of stock.

I placed my order on 26 January at 11:38 GMT amd today's email was the first I had heard from them since the order confirmation email on the day. There again, I did email them asking for some amendments to my original order, so this may have dropped me to the back of the queue.

I guess that's how it goes, though it's still pretty annoying that they held onto my money for over a week before cancelling.

I’ve just had the same email. I am furious, as there were other bikes in the sale that I would have gone for. They held onto my order for 8 days until the sale was over before cancelling the order.

Appalling customer service from Ribble. Absolutely terrible.

And now i have been offered the R872 with Ultegra for £844 as an alternative. Effectively 35% off this.

What say y'all? Seems like good value to me, although a little more expensive than the last one.

Want that a frame that De Rosa also used? Looks pretty good but would want to know what tyre clearance was like...thin they had a decent reputation though. Am sure you will have seen this?

Well after cancelling my order and then reinstating it after finding a frame. I picked it up on Saturday and it's superb, for £635 it's unbelievable. Build quality was spot on, no rattles or other noises, no tinkering needed with brakes and gears.

Sorry to hear about your cancelled order but don't cut off your nose to spite your face, that 872 deal looks superb, ask for 18 months interest free as well, I got it on my sale bike so no point forking out the full whack if you don't need to, imo anyway. Let us know how you get on.

I wouldn't as apparently they are absolutely terrible with appalling customer service.
  • I wouldn't as apparently they are absolutely terrible with appalling customer service.

    Indeed.......

Being able to offer a great product at a cheap price does not necessarily mean the customer service levels have changed. Until i had a major grump at them, they cancelled my order and offered me the opportunity to buy vastly inferior bikes at vastly greater prices.

But i am a cliched Scotsman, who will tolerate many things for good value (I sometimes even fly Ryanair) so i swallow my indignation and move on (with a good deal on a good bike i hope).

Worth remembering that if you pay using PayPal then they will refund return postage up to £15 up to twelve times per year.

While not as easy as wiggles' free returns, I've used the service many many times without issue.

kofsw4, kudos for mentioning this as I wasn't previously aware. Just had my first Paypal postage refund, and I'll probably use up the remaining 11 too...

Pulled out all my jerseys/jackets last night when looking for something else. Swore I'd never need another jersey for the rest of my life.

Now I have one more :-)

  • Great time to be buying spare cassettes...

    https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-10 ... 17086.html

    11-28/30/32/34 all £34.85 each!

Was going to buy 2x 11-34 on Monday when they were £36.50 each, but they ran out of stock... So I bought two at the same price from CRC using the £10 discount voucher off a £75 basket that expired that night, along with a spare tube. So it saved me ~£5 on the purchase, but I could easily have added more to a basket at Merlin to get over £100 and then use some reward points for £10 discount, if I had known they were going to get more stock so quickly.

it is very limited in my opinion, the data screen configuration isn't great and the screen is really small - if you can get a good deal go for the edge 130 well worth the upgrade.
